Coin Hunter, coin collector, numismatist, call it what you want. I love coins, old coins, new coins, foreign coins, pre-decimal coins, even tokens!
On the channel we hunt 50ps and £2s from the Post Office and Bank. We are trying to collect all of the different designs! We are also trying to find as many different coins from around the world as possible.
We also have some banknotes on the channel now and again. As well as coin sets and silver coins from around the world.
We buy coins from antique shops and fairs, car boot sales and wherever we can.
I sold my Kew Gardens shortly after I bought it at Auction which was in with some others in 2010 but now it's worth 5 times more than it was then so it's well worth hanging on to them rather than flipping quick
That seems like such a long time ago when you all went down to the mint & you found Christopher’s Kew, Grosey found the 4th portrait BOB, there was others too I’m sure, but in coin terms hunts are not like they use to be sadly, very much reflected in change too, The Coronation is a keeper until the mintage is confirmed for sure
I kept all my Coronation coins I've Found so far. If the Salmon is a low mintage, we know it's not 5m now, they will be rare. Many of them are being kept in sealed bags.
Exciting news! The inclusion of Rose number [111] beautifully symbolizes our collaborative efforts in this creative garden at CoinEra. Let's continue nurturing this shared space together! 🌹🌷🌼 Thank you for being an integral part of it! 😊💖
I enjoyed this, as an OAP amateur coin collector in Ireland, so there a few small errors if I may be so bold? the Bonze decimal 1/2p , 1p, 2p, where designed by Miss Gabriel Hayes, (you didn't show the 1/2p) which was from an illumination in a manuscript in the Cathedral in Cologne, the 1p was from the book of Kells, and the 2p (wait for it) was from an illumination in the second Bible of Charles the Bald in the Bibliotheque Paris. The other coins were based on Percy Metcalf's pre decimal designs. The 1992 small 5p is not scarce 700K minted, I have a BUNC coin. Some coins were only issued in year sets so the 1886 50p is only available in a set, (about €450.00 for the set) I'm lucky as we joined the Euro, the pre decimal year run in total is about 220 coins and I'm about 20 away for a complete UNC set. Cheers Pete.
