Have you tried the export function? I can not get it to work with my BOSS GT-1000 Core ! The IR exported from Cabinetron sounds horrible, harsh and very unmusical when I load it into my BOSS GT-1000 Core ! In my DAW it sounds awesome though !
I noticed the same result, and I think it has to do with the conversion and if it's a proper conversion for the device (file size). I may be wrong on that, as they do sound good direct from the program when in a DAW or on the computer, and I can't seem to get the same result when loaded onto a piece of gear. The company made reference to the conversion thing needing to be correct, but I only fooled around with that a bit before abandoning it.
I appreciate that, considering I'm a mediocre player (and still am after all these years, lol). I like to get tones and sounds out and remove the yapping.
@@logicbdj Don't sell yourself short. You're pretty damn good - especially when compared to the latest bunch of players in today's demo vids. I just had a brief conversation with someone yesterday about his review of the latest amp/speaker modelling software (NAM or Neural Amp Modeler). Every demo I could find was all heavy drop-D speed metal riffs. How are you supposed to tell how realistic the thing is supposed to sound if they're just chugging away with the gain all the way up? He basically confessed, "I'm not that good so I can't make that kind of video." Can you believe that? Another video was a comparison of one distortion pedal to a cheap knock-off. And how did they show it? By playing the distortion pedal into the DIRTY channel of their amp.... just chugging away with speed metal riffs. I looked again and again and every one was the same. Your video was a much needed breath of fresh air. Cheers!
@@EsteemedRepresentative Thanks, and I do get that. So deep and heavy that you can't even hear what the riff is, lol. And some 'pros' out there are so processed, when you get the pedal it doesn't even sound anything close to the video.
@@EsteemedRepresentative A bit of a mess. I created a sub-channel called CoolGuitarGear. It was scrubbed twice (second time I had 35k subs). I included some themes in some compositions that YT didn't appreciate, apparently. I have a ton over on Rumble, but lost about 100+ on YT. Now, anything possibly controversial is over there.
Thanks... I just posted another on the Template Overlays, which may sound better. I say that because I added a power amp simulator in this video, which really makes it ballsy. The other video removes that aspect, which makes it more defined and not so punch-heavy.
Crunch channel with mids cranked up sounds like a high gain Tom Scholz tone and that's a huge compliment. You're working on selling me on this pedal, sounds phenomenal!
Appreciated, since I've never nailed a tone that I liked... sounds good in one composition and not so much other times. Could be the ears, lol. Also, the KSR IR Cabs (just the $4.99 pack) is awesome. I've never come across a better IR for high-gain. I recently purchased the KMA Endgame, and it includes three Celestion cabs, and they all sound mid-rangy, boxy, honky. The KSR ones are big and punchy... and more balanced.
@@logicbdj good IRs can make such a difference. My favorites are Seacow Cabs, you get like 400 in a pack for $5 US and, to me, they sound better than anything I've ever tried.
One thing to note with this pedal, in my case anyway, is that it doesnt pair will with my Dunlop cry-baby wah. From my experiences to get a good Hendrix tone the fuzz needs to go after the wah, the modulation before it, but you cant do that with a 2-in-1
Love the settings at 3:23! It feels like the "amp" is naturally swelling in harmonious feedback on the verge of extreme instability. The Theremin-esque wailing afterwards is just plain awesome too. Love it!
I titled this instrumental Robopocalypse because of the eerie industrial quality. I'm playing a Carvin DC800, using a Timber Tone Quayle signature plectrum, with distortion/drive coming from a Boss GT-Pro processor.
