The thing i hate is the Amplifier location. A Carver amp is what i had to replace 2 times . My fault. I put something in the trunk that wasn't closed all the way, it spilled out . Still its been a great car.
Ohhh I've been waiting for an update, great video! So sorry to hear about your breakup, always sad! ahhaha 12:35 "The potholes are 300 years old there" Lol, the US isn't even 300 years old :D
Good work on the conversion so far. This video inspired me to go out and fix a minor fuel leak on my 1800ES. Now I'm going to go pick up my son with it today.
Sorry to hear about your heartbreak😥, so glad to see your amazing progress on the ev-conversion👍, definitely no hiding the absolute fabrication skill level💪 of EV West, just a little envy’s of those guys👍🤗. Keep you head up, your doing amazing, I can’t wait to see your next problem solving.🤗
Man I can't thank you enough for this video! Curious would you know what could be making my 86 240 DL Wagon with the auto and non turbo so very under powered. I know it's supposed to be slow but doesn't seem right. Ive replace spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, o2 sensor and checked the fuses and relays. Do you think it could be related to the exhaust? I'm gonna check the throttle body soon.
Just bought an Amazon and plan to strip in a couple of months (moving into new workshop at the moment) think your vids will be great help. Thanks in advance.
Nice! I have a wagon. Love how you put overdrive in it. I'm looking for advice as to opening the rear door (it's stuck - won't release). I plan to get at it from the inside and try to find the release which apparently isn't working from turning the handle.
Hi i would like to ask if you can take a picture of the front bumper. I need to know how i will install the bottom bumper grill. What fasteners i need. Thank you.
How easy is it to work on a 240 for someone who knows a thing or two about Volkswagens but not exactly a mechanic here. Had a horrible experience with a ‘97 850 stick shift back in ‘06 and now decades later I’m thinking about getting a ‘90-‘93 240 DL or GL sedan. Any thoughts…… anyone…..? Buehler……. Buehler…….
240’s are abundant on the West coast but nowadays not so much on the East coast. How much can someone expect to pay for an ‘89-‘93 DL or GL sedan in an OK condition?
After many trial and error attempts to fix my light challenges (not being aware of the extra relais in my 1993) your video has been a great help. I now just need to find the right light switch. the one I ordered has got less connectors and now I cannot just run the small bulbs. It's all on or all off. Thanks again for taking the time to make this video!
Finding one in good shape honestly seems impossible. Most people who sell them have let them sort of fall apart before finally letting them go. I've been shopping for years and nothing comes up. I keep hoping for one to come up.
