@@Jerem06_ No, they will not be empty. After some minor seapage, the leaking stopped. Presumably I put a little too much oil in. I've been running them without any problems..

All the aluminum parts are holding up very well. I have an Axial Yeti XL as well upgraded to full metal. I am not always filming, but I think I'll put a video up again in a couple of weeks. We are waiting for parts for the Losi, so we can film another bash session together.
@@RonaldHarkema I bash a Xmaxx and built a 25 foot ramp I jump off of. I don't have many metal parts. I need a lot of the parts to flex. But with metal I bend them. I just pick up a UDR used but looks like they ran it twice, no damage. I'm going to change the motor and esc out and run 8s.
@@Airbrushkid 8S would kill your UDR, if you could find batteries that fit. 6S is more than sufficient. BTW I have a 2nd Yeti XL rolling chassis. If you're interested...
Alle aluminium upgrades zijn gewoon een kwestie van onderdelen vervangen. De zijpanelen heb ik uitgezaagd uit een plaatje aluminium en vervolgens in zwart/wit/grijs camo gespoten. Is allemaal niet zo ingewikkeld. Wat wil je precies gemod hebben?
@@RonaldHarkema vooral de buitenkant, platen tegen de kooi enz, ik kan zoiets zelf niet omdat ik maar 1 hand kan gebruiken. daarom heb ik ook deze wagen gekozen omdat de batterij makkelijk verwisselbaar is met 1 hand. vind het een zeer plezante wagen, en heb zelfs een duimstukje op het stuurwiel gezet om met 1 hand te rijden. als mogelijke 2e auto heb ik een rock rey plus op het oog nu....
@@wimlyssens478 Ik heb nog wel een hagelnieuwe Yeti XL roller staan, als je interesse hebt. Daar heb ik er 3 van... Moet alleen een motor en ESC in, verder compleet. Zender, ontvanger en stuurservo zitten er in.
You leave a little slack on the back of the straps, so the steel ring will sit on the stand you screw the wheels on. No cutting needed. They cost me around 6, 7 Euro a set. Found on AliExpress.

Het gaat letterlijk maar om een druppel olie minder. Niet merkbaar in het rijden. Cilinder moet gewoon zijn overtollige druk kwijt. Dat perst hij eruit bij de lekkage langs de o ring. Buiten dat, mijn auto is inmiddels volledig alu, dus die paar euro ga ik ook niet meer aan kapot. 😜
@@RonaldHarkema Ik heb mijn udr nu drie dagen in bezit, na heel lang twijfelen, en ben er zeer van onder de indruk. Ik zie en gebruik 'm echt als een scale auto en niet als basher. Ik zit net naar uw video te kijken over de gpm swaybar set die ik ook gelijk maar even ga meebestellen op Ali. Erg informatieve video's! Nogmaals bedankt voor de info.
Traxxas needs to make a UDR the size of that losi! Just make sure they don’t change the truck......just make it larger! I love the suspension on the UDR! 😉

5ive T is a money pit... All the parts are double the price of a UDR. SBR looks fantastic, but no experience with it. Check my last update on the UDR. I went a bit overboard on upgrades.
I already replaced the stock torsion bars by 2,5mm spring steel bars. These are 3mm. A bit more stable, but the truck will roll eventually. Recommended.
I just installed the metal brake assembly. Long story short. I had to Dremel off the plastic ones it SUCKED. BUT dang the metal ones are NICE! Thanks for the video
First time I watched this video was when I bought the UDR, eventually I ended up getting the 5t and I still come back to this video every once in a while. I like the UDR but I like the 5ive T more. Yes the 5 has 28 pounds on the UDR but the 5T isn't phased by the weight. My UDR has been highly modified and mostly breaks axle shafts and strips gears. The 5T hasn't broke a part since I got it early this past summer. It has lost a steering servo screw and an exhaust manifold screw backed out, but nothing substantial. You get what you would expect from a $600 difference. I got my UDR when it dropped in price to $699 and put more than that into it in upgrades. A few things I wish it had had when I bought it, but just like most people, very few RCs are left stock. Lol.
Have you noticed that putting metal parts creates potentially more damage to other parts like the chassis etc? I'm just wondering if it's worth it to upgrade to metal parts.
Untill now, no damage to other areas (except from replacing the front bumper which was bent from a nose dive), but that was not caused by the aluminum upgrades.
Yes I would buy it again. Does it keep the sand out? Don't know. I've pumped the axle full with marine grease, so it would be a small wonder if any sand got into it. Untill now, I have only driven it twice, so no need to open up the axle yet.

Can't tell exactly what you're unscrewing on the front end because the camera only has a view of the top. Way too fast to see what's going on on the front end!
Hey bro any problems with the GPM front end? Example: Inner wheel and tires rubbing on upper arm when turning on full lock, Dog bones keep coming out because the Hub sticks out to the side more and does not have factory camber... I replaced all mine with Hot Racing front end and I had those problems. Immediately returned the front end to stock. Hoping GPM will be different
