Thank you! Yes a beautiful area. Only used the drone a couple of times so hopefully will use it more now the weather is getting better. Thanks for the ‘like and subscribe’ too 😁
Maybe! I’ve lived in Walton now for about 50 years so probably a good chance you seen me at some point…. I don’t know who you are but I’ve watched some of your cycling videos ☺️
@@strangiebaby666 Yeah, if you spot someone riding a black e-bike, it could well be me - Tim, although due to the weather this winter, I haven't done much biking lately! Hoping for a dry Spring! But in the meantime, I plan to shoot some more rough sea video on big tides!!
Thanks Tony! I've lived in Walton all my 69 years, but it's been decades since I last walked round the sea wall 😅. I plan to bike round one day soon, and I was wondering what state the footpath was in (muddy, overgrown etc.), so your video has helped me in that regard 👍🏻. And I too remember Teddy Carter, we used to hire his rowing boats on the Boating Lake. Ah, those were the days!!
Thanks for taking that walk Tony! I'm a life-long (69 years) Walton resident, and have made that walk hundreds of times, but these days I can't walk too far. I've always liked to check on the status of Stone Point, so you've done the job for me! The 'Main Cut-off' as we used to call it, was blocked off after dredged sand was dumped on the beach 25 years ago in an attempt to protect the Naze. But without anything to keep it in place - breakwaters etc. - the sand all washed away after a few years. So now the cut-off is open again! It's always served as marsh drainage on Spring tides. Nature has a way of restoring balance! 👍🏻
I can remember the sand being pumped on the beach ,spent a lot of time here my dad worked for the local farmer ,we was always up the naze doing something.
Yes it’s such a shame isn’t it, when I lived up the Naze, when I was around 10, I remember loads more green area to play on up the top. Sadly it’s crumbling away very fast 😢
