2008 DDec 6 Detroit Series 60 14L, runs perfect until around 140 degrees then like a switch starts to run like shit. Had oil in the injector harness so I replaced it, seems to run better now but soon as it warms up throttle response is off and it kind of surges/looping idle.
I know this is 3 year old video. Invest in a “concrete vibrator” if you’re gonna haul DDG. Start from the bottom to get it started then move to the top. Game changer
German 2008-2016 ish engines petrol or diesel will need a carbon clean every 50k miles, now matter how you look after it. It'll be ready for bushings & engine mounts throughout because of the age, and watch out for dust covers on those rear shocks. Cheaper to repair these than replace the shocks! Also consider Waxoil or some other underbody coating, will reduce future expensive rust buggery
I was wondering if you could help me out here, I have a 2008 ML350, while taking out the radiator, I mistakenly pulled the AC line from the Radiator side, Freon vented out in the garage and it was not a comfortable moment. I have since not driven my car or even turned the key, it stayed in the garage but did not cover the pulled line but it stayed in the engine bay. The Compressor hoses are still connected. I am worried if I need a flush? A new condenser? Or put the hose back and go to a garage and have it recharged? Thanks for helping out.
Yup blocked my egr bc I didn’t want to buy a new one and still had the whining sound! It barely happened so the exhaust soot hasn’t started to show yet! After I ran it for a day or two found out it’s the same one you’re replacing
Can you post the part numbers for the flywheel you used and snap on clutch brake ? Also why that particular clutch ? What about eaton easy pedal 2050 ?
Im fixing to extend my truck frame. Im changing out my suspension to a better one than what i have. Im kinda weary with cutting the center of my frame and had thought about just adding the length to the rear of my frame. That way i can drive my truck to a welding shop, have them weld the extensions on and drive it back home. Then i can do the rest by swaping over the suspension myself and save several thousands of dollars.
@@arsentrucking7883I found 3 but they all say more than likely take it down to 7k but they won’t do payments. My record is clean, this is my first offense, I honestly can’t believe how my company and states treat us truck drivers. A DWI is cheaper or the same as my ticket 🤦🏼♂️
I need to make the holes to install a thermo king apu . Do you anywhere in Los Angeles that installs apu or can at least drill hole so I can go pick up the apu I bought off someone on fb marketplace
Talked to my union rep about how to transfer to mechanic tech because i saw they was looking for mechanics and just went to apply and the application site was token down
@@arsentrucking7883 I do get erratic reading on all gouges on that side, boost pressure comes and goes, if it's raining all work fine, no water in truck either
Well it happened! You are right about this is a must have upgrade to the kitty kat! Monday I lost my fill cap and even though I only lost a 1/2 gallon it made a mess! The TA didn’t have the right fill cap and had to wait next day to get it at part store. I called PDI and told them the direction I was headed and they sent me to a shop that had it on the shelf! Just installed it and now hopefully this is a worry free part. I wish they would make a delete plate since I don’t use this to fill my oil.
Hello and ty... I have been a auto tech for 15 years in private garages... No diesel experience or diesel tools... Should I still apply??? What type of tools are needed in the beginning??? Ty...
With the startup for tooling cost & the Insanity involved with his job, it's no wonder there is such a high dropout rate. I Started working professionally on vehicles starting in 1984.
I put a hot side turbo blanket to help with my EGTs and it made me feel the same way brother! It’s red so when I have the hood open it always catches my eye!
Thanks for posting this! I have an AirDog 165 that I took off my powerstroke when I sold it and I was told by AirDog that I couldn’t do this because it couldn’t support the supply and demand for my MXS! I think they want me to buy the 200. On my next home time I thinking on adding it anyways. I’ve changed pickup tube in both tanks, splitter valve, fuel lines and it did help some but still rough. After seeing this I’m going to now. Thanks again!
