@@shadihaswani5664 I’ll be so real for some of it I kind of made it up (the arms specifically) when I got lost. I feel like the biggest hurdle was figuring out crocheting in rounds instead of rows. You got this!
If you only have one size of the needle you need, you can still make it work! Just use the correct size needle on the right hand side, as it will determine the size of your loops as you pull them through, and use the smaller needle on the left hand side. This also can make it easier to knit as the loops will slide over your left hand needle more quickly. For knitting flat you'll have to take the time to switch out which side your needles are on but in the round you just keep going. And obviously this only works if you're using interchangeable needles.
I also plan on knitting a Sailor Swift Top for this summer !! I really enjoyed watching you knitting this, especially in Drops Safran as I also plan on using this yarn. I love your color choice. Personally, I'll knit it in a classic white and navy blue. For your tension, you can make a swatch flat and in the round if both techniques are used in the pattern. If the gauge is different like yours, you can use different needle sizes when you knit flat and when you knit in the round, so maybe you could use smaller needles when you knit flat. Hope this helps !
i'm so glad you're liking crochet! it's so fun but please take care and don't forget to streatch and try to not overdo it cause it can make your shoulder hurt. hope you're better from the cold by now! also, i would love to see moving vlogs!
Hi everyone! Thank you so much for watching and supporting me! If you live in Canada, please check out the knit accessories I have available on my website and on instagram. I'd love to send you something handmade <3 sites.google.com/view/knitclassicbyrachel/shop?authuser=3 You can find my store's instagram @knit.classicbyrachel
This was just one I worked out myself for fun! I might consider writing a pattern if enough people are interested, but it's just basic knit with some purl detailing <3
Bravo! 👏🏼 I think you did a good job. I find Kika’s patterns are difficult to follow. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Sometimes, you just have to put the project down and go back to it later. My biggest mistake is that I always forget to change my needles when I switch from ribbing to body/body to ribbing, where I have to frog, and I do it frequently! And, sometimes, minor mistakes can be overlooked ☺️… Btw, did you complete the sweater?
girlll you know what is so funny? I actually quit my job a few months ago and it made me decide to start content-creating/ start a small business with the crochet things I like to make! I hope everything works out well for the both of us!! <3
Hi babes! If you want to keep up with this project on Instagram you can find me at @knit.classicbyrachel ! My etsy is open already in the link in the description if you want to be there for the launch! 🩷
ironically, it's usually cheaper to ship outside of canada than within. you can also sign up for a Canada Post business account which gives you a small discount!
Good Work! sorry to disturb you, you have indeed so many projects to knit, but now I'm trying to knit a salty days sweatshirt and I cannot get eyelet section..I hate it as well! well I have tried to knit it in many versions but it does not look like an original. Is this ok to explain how you are doing this maybe with a very short video? Your Salty days sweatshirt is so beautiful ❤️ Thanks!
No but honestly I think different dye lots have different textures. Like the new drops air I got is so much rougher than some I've used before idk what it is
Thank you for the great video. I'm currently knitting The salty days sweater from kutovakika and sadly I have a big problem. I have the right number of stitches beginning Chart C. I have attempted twice, but cannot seem to get what needs to be done on Round 5 in Chart C. To me this is the trickiest part of the pattern so far, so I am disappointed that the tutorial, which has been wonderful, does not address this step at all. I cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
Omg this popped up on my recommended and I know nothing about knitting but this was so great!!! The way you talk about things is so lovely!! Also the color at like 16:20 is so great!!! Also also that book at the end looks so cool!!! I love to read too!!
