It’s 2024. Track saws are as ubiquitous as pocket hole jigs. In ten years you’ll still have it and you won’t even remember what you paid. And a plunge saw is SO MUCH nicer and even safer than a regular circular saw.
Interesting. I never saw that idea. The looks is so beautyful. I'm frustrated DIYer, if i start some day that's one that i like to try it out. Keep it up, bro. THANKS.
I just saw this 08May24. I am somewhat confused. I understand that vinyl plank flooring is truly temperature and humidity stable. But by the time you buy a box of vinyl plank, the aluminum square bar and the saw to dedicate to the system you're into the budget track saw world. The other thing is...well, how you gonna make an eight foot track? How you gonna splice vinyl plank together? I just retired from flooring installation and in all my time I never once saw 8ft vinyl plank. ... just sayin'
Ok. I understand a little better now. I wasn't really dogging on you...just couldn't understand why you did what you did. Now I get it. By the way...I have made several 'advanced' bases for my Makita trim router with LVP job scraps...larger simple base, a step base that allows me to cut dadoes 1 1/2" apart (for 5" sanding disc storage) and a 30" trammel for cutting circles up to 55" in diameter...so, I get it...just didn't understand it at first. I never once thought your work was shoddy or faulty, nor the idea insane...just didn't understand at first. Your response made me subscribe.
