Sabah is blessed with beautiful sea and islands, it is a shame that there are many water slum villages everywhere, they don't have proper sanitary amenity, the houses are flimsy, rough and dangerous to live in. They also create a lot of pollution to the sea. The government also fail to register the orang Bajau people even they are born and bred here, which creates a long-term issue in term waste management, immigration, crime and border control.
Hi Mike, thank you for your comment. I know what you mean. I saw the news on the Bajau people too. I will leave it to the government to acknowledge them. In the mean time, I want people to come to Sabah to experience the beauty of Semporna themselves. I think with more tourist, the area could be enhanced further.

Waalaikumsalam. We planned on our own. Secure the flight and accommodation. The rest will be easy. You need to know the places you want to visit. Bus and train is one of the main transportation. Some of the trip we took a guided tour to understanding the history and the rest we did a bit of research on it. I hope this help. All location we visited is in the description

You will definitely have a change of perspective once you are there. Allow yourself to explore the beauty of its culture. You will be surprised most of the location is clean. Most of the toilets we visited were equipped with a bidet. To solat I will recommend in your room or mosque. We did find a secluded place to solat when we were at the airport.
