This channel is dedicated to Disney Lorcana, my latest obsession. Here I will post budget deck techs, as well as gameplay with commentary. I may also unbox and open up a few products as well.
I have a broom deck that I've been tinkering with. I also only have two copies of Yen Sid. Two cards I have added to the deck are Arthur - Wizard's Apprentice and We Know the Way. Arthur is uninkable, so he replaces copies of the high cost uninkable brooms. He helps speed your deck up, while letting you reuse your other characters with "enters play" abilities. He is also a sorcerer for the Dancing Duster brooms. We Know the Way can be similar to the Hat, while letting you bring back cards from discard.
This was the first deck I built. Very budget friendly and affordable. I was able to win a couple of casual games at locals yesterday and even stood my ground against an Amber/ Steel Aggro deck. The first half was 0-13, but I was able to catch up and ended up losing 18-20. I still had lots of fun playing it and hope to find more support for this deck in the future.
I was able to buy most of the deck for $5 in bulk minus then Herculeses and the Zeus Songs. So instead I added Chernabog's Followers, Magic Broom Illuminary Keeper, Simba Future King, and Fortishpere. They're all cheap one drops, inkable, and manage to draw you a card.
I absolutely love this deck. I've been trying to figure out how to run the nephews in a deck, and this might just do it. Lena Sabrewing (from the Sumerian Talisman quote) actually has a card (Amethyst common from Inklands). She IS a duck, and from her art style I would guess that she is in the reboot of Duck Tales (never got into it, prefer the original).
Played my first game this evening with the starter deck that contains a lot of these cards. i lost but I still had a lot of fun. This deck profile seems really cool. Might do something similar!
Yeah I basically built this off cards from the starter deck since it seemed to work so well out of the box. I am also planning on updating this deck to include Steel and the new Dwarves. More Dwarves the better.
Do you have any recommendations for what the deck list looks like with shimmering skies? I’m new to Lorcana and I love robin hood so i want to build this deck hehe
Sorry my Disney nerd was triggered at thinking the Duke of Weselton is from Robin Hood. He’s from Frozen. Not a major character but used for a good bit about calling it Weaseltown.
@@lorcanawithluke 😂 no worries! It’s a sweet deck and I’m thinking I want to build something similar. I was going to use Ruby instead of Steel, but you have such good synergy.
Thanks for showing how to play with that deck and how to build it. I just started with Lorcana and am super happy about having a themed deck of my favorite Movie. Thanks for the effort you made in creating this video :)
I am very new to Lorcana and i buyed myself the Madrigal starter Deck. So thanks for the Video! I have one question..so how can i see, if an card is inkable or uninkable?
Good question! In the top left corner of the card there will be a number. If that number is surrounded by a golden swirly thing, then it can be used for ink. If not, its uninkable.
The first guy was funny when asking what other TCG you played and how you came up with this deck. This deck, like the Broom deck, you could see coming since set one. The Flotsam/Jetsam clearly synergize. We just had to wait for all the pieces to be released. I'm willing to bet they'll be more cards that will make this deck even better coming along soon.
i started playing three days ago and just made your deck list. I switched out 'Hidden Cove' for 'Casa Madrigal' for when I am playing more competetive people, but that is the only change and might not even be better. idk yet. Cannot wait to try the deck out!
Hi Luke, thank you for the content! I find this theme decks idea quite cool, and I'll be following your new vids! Do your best to make the decks as "competitive" as possible, without losing too much of the theme, it would be even more interesting to watch. Love the energy, tho! I don't know if the other player is a friend of yours or just a random guy, but I found the cam setups a bit difficult to follow. You should find a way to put the videos head to head (as if on a table) and help the other player clear his setup (!) and move/zoom in the camera... Hope the feedback is well accepted! Keep it up!
@@OxygenOmg appreciate the feedback! The other players are just random people I've met online so yeah sometimes the camera angles aren't the best. I'll try my best to find people with good cameras in the future
Daughter and i love this deck, is there anything you would update to it? Robinhood is her favroite disney movie right now and is looking to make it now
Well if you have any legendary Robin hoods that shift for 3 ink that's in Steel, that's an absolutely awesome powerful card, but also too expensive for me. I would also consider adding some ways to refill our hand like A Whole New World, which is also a little expensive. There are tons of other cool characters you could include from the movie that won't work quite as well, but will be thematic, like Sir Hiss, Little John, and more.
@@lorcanawithluke It's really tough, the hundred acre woods are spread across several different ink colors :/ I think you could make a piglet/pooh/christopher robin blue/yellow questing deck happen
For the record.... in the first game when he sang bruno on your flatsam & jetsam card.... u had the jetsam out that gives it ward cuz it counts as both flotsam and jetsam.
Gracias por compartir tu deck, Hércules es una de mis películas favoritas de niño y ahora podré armar mi deck de Titanes 🥰 Se podrá agregar a pena y pánico para hacerlo más temático?
Glad you enjoy the Titan deck! Hercules is such a great movie. Yeah totally feel free to add some fun thematic characters! However if they are in a different color, adding them will require removing one of our current ink colors first. There are lots of cool new characters in Green/Emerald from the Hercules Movie you can try adding like Megara and Zeus as well as Panic and Pain.
It's just my webcam. We play online via Discord servers, which is free. That's mostly for the voice chat feature. The Disney Lorcana Discord server is free to join and there are players there looking for webcam matches!
@@petepozzuto8175 you gotta find the channel called Looking for Game. You might have to scroll down a bit on the left side of the screen there. Then click it and type something like LFG Webcam and hope someone replies! Then you hop in a voice channel probably called Game 1 to hang out and show ur camera. There's a button to turn your camera on once you join the voice channel bottom left.
@@lorcanawithluke thanks so much! Great content by the way. Love the deck review videos and seeing the gameplay right after. Also, live gameplay is always great
Yeah they definitely do. The starter decks lack consistency and card draw most of the time. My decks usually focus on both of those things by adding 4 copies of most cards.
I'm new to the game, but I've been slowly absorbing information in the form of youtube videos and I have a really silly deck idea. A location theme deck using the Wreck-it Ralph cards that are coming soon with 4 Coconuts. There is no strategy yet, the main reason to make this deck is that it gives you an excuse to make a deck and call it Coconut Mall, since you have coconut and a bunch of kart racers
I have at least 5 decks I'm trying to make videos for! While you wait, I posted a bunch of decks on my Dreamborn profile. Links in the description. Just click on my username to see more decks. Next up is Brooms, Mulan, Lion King, Madrigals, and Heroes.
More for casual play for sure. But even against meta decks this deck can put up some good pressure and can maybe win a few games. For upgrades, probably the Legendary Purple Ursula could be interesting, as well as potentially 2 more legendary green Ursula to finish the play set. Maybe even Mother Knows Best? But cuts would be difficult.
Hi bro I am new to the game, and I am having some trouble to finding a good list to start. Do u have a discord or something like that cuz I think u know a lot about this game and I just want to start in the best way
I don't have my own discord but I do hang out sometimes in the Disney Lorcana discord looking for games channel. Some nice folks there on the regular, myself included. Happy to help you get your first deck list started!
