At Timber Reimagined, I share my passion for building and offer a unique perspective on the construction process. Inspired to be creative, everything you see is hand made by me. The goal is to get as close as possible to the real thing and make videos that capture the essence of building a house.
Thank you! Right now, I'm just trying different things. Would you have preferred more of an explanation? I didn't think this one needed to be long as it took many hours to build them all and it was a rinse and repeat deal. I just wanted tonmake this short and sweet 🙂
Haha I appreciate that! Its starting to get some momentum. I know the full build will do really well. I'm also getting a ton of positive feed back so its just a matter of time. Glad to hear you are enjoying what I'm putting out! Thank you! 👍🏻
I'm building at 1:16. This house is just going to be the shell. This is also my first build. I am focusing on the structural aspects as of now...willing to change things up down the road. 👍🏻
Alright well, kits are out there. You can look at Amazon. I am literally just getting going on this channel but part of my buisness plan is to sell kits. I have lots of different ideas! Do you happen to have access to tools to make your own lumber? You could always start there. You could also buy wood from a craft store.
I hand made everything. Used a table saw and jigs to rip everything down. For the sheathing i had to fill in the pockets caused by the osb manufacturing. Then I simply painted them. Had stamps made and individually stamped each and every single sheet...including all the roof sheathing that I have not shown yet! What do you think? Should I start selling material?
@@iqdaz you can buy this stuff at hobby stores. Its a different wood than pine. Usually balsa or something like that. But I wanted my stuff cut in 2' lengths that I needed like a real job. Plus with pine you gets knots and can see the grain. Makes it more realistic.
1:16. I did that scale for a number of reasons. The size is comfortable. Layout is every 1" and I am working in 1/16". It was been challenging so far and I have had to make adjustments...but that's building haha.
@@TimberReimagined Yeah, I know, timber is your thing, that's cool and as it is a small scale model, sure, it doesn't need to be stable but come on dude, don't call 6 2x4s covered up with a thin board a wall 🤣
I've felt like I've lived in a glue, sheetrock and tape apartment. The toilet flushing could be heard through the walls. I like this sped up version. Imagine building that fast. What a moneymaker.
Yeah, there is some pretty low quality "dwellings" out there in the world. And, people do try and build that fast no doubt haha. I have been getting positive feedback about the sped up pace 👍🏻🙂
I've heard of tiny homes but really? Lol jk love it bro! Is this for your architecture practicum? For carpentry we have to draw out a set of plans. You can go as wild as u want,if ya want.
Glad you are liking it! Naa...I'm doing this because I love framing and miss being out in the field actually doing it. I am a residential estimator so this is not only a creative outlet but another way to learn. 👍🏻 This is a simple house...I plan on doing more complicated builds in the future along with small ones here and there to keep things fresh.
@TimberReimagined sweet thats really cool keep on doing you buddy. Ya I've been out of the contracting business for about 12yrs now, broke me back after a fall were my arresting equipment wasn't secured every 3ft and I fell landing on top of a concrete retaining wall. So now I'm an automotive technician. I really enjoy this style of content.
Daaang! Wow man. You are lucky nothing catastrophic happened on that fall. Part of the reason I got out of the field was that I was starting a family. I also have unparalleled flexibility right now which comes in handy with 3 young boys! Haha. Glad to hear you are liking what I'm putting out 👍🏻
If you want a real crew we will do it in half the time and way more professional then this noob! lol rookie using electrical tape What a boob! Yeah shoot Me a text we specialize in mini constructions jobs
Hey, I appreciate that, thank you! I stumbled into carpentry kinda on accident and my path has led me to this (along with my current position as a residential estimator) This is a VERY simple house to build but I plan on building some quite complex builds in the future so I hope you stick around! I am also always trying to learn so feel free to share any advice you may have. Thanks again!
