My interests include tinkering with electronics -- handhelds in particular. Completed projects include an original Gameboy Advance with a backlit display, and converting a broken DS Lite into a GBA. Upcoming project: upgrading the HP48 series calculator memory. The HP48 is an old graphing calculator that is now no longer in production. However, it has been a favorite number cruncher for me and has served me well over the years.
I am also a big fan of calculators in general. So you will also find a number of videos related to graphing calculators. Right now, my focus is on the HP Prime, a relatively new graphing calculator by Hewlett Packard which sports a touchscreen.
I'm still trying to figure out how to store and recall intermediate values under RPN using the HP Prime. The Sto button has no effect, and there's no RCL button.
THANK YOU! I was so lost using buggy software trying to fill a 2TB HDD. this bat file is a life saver i sooner somthing that works like your bat, much better than a tricky buggy java program.
This is great, I've used it to install games to the HDD and load them up with OPL. HDLoader doesn't see them but that's not really an issue. Can I also use this to add games to the drive or will it re-write everything on it once I do that?
I thought i was screwed after buying a new 2tb hard drive and winhiip kept failing. This solved all my probs and also made everything automatic and quick. thanks so much!
I formatted a 1tb Hard drive Via Ulaunch Elf but when I went to use HDL Batch the Hard drive appears as hdd1: 0 Mb. I tried formatting again but the result was the same. If there is anyone who knows a fix to this I would greatly appreciate it.
Ok, I'm late into the game of HP Prime programming. What really irritates and bugs the hell of of me are these f***ing amateurs who don't practice before make a video and then I have to waste my time watching them fumbling to present what would have been valuable knowledge.
id is the identity entity function; it just returns what the original argument is. so since F0 is a function of X, it returns X. if it were a function of say Y, then id would return Y
"system cannot find the file specified" what am i doing wrong i know its something simple EDIT: i figured it out, since my drive was 0 i had to edit the file, so on the else line i accidently changed the L on hdLhdd to a 0 as well and that didnt allow it to work
This seems pretty overly complicated. Makes me pretty nervous to use it when I'm used to something like HDL Dump helper, which seems a bit more straight forward Also, If a HDD is full, is there a way to remove games from it using this?
The version in this video is out dated. The newest version has a good and capable GUI which makes things easier and quicker to use. Just tried it for the first time today and was quite pleased.
Great tutorial. However, my calc does not display a popup menu for trace and there is no trace line in 3D. I have the latest firmware update of 2021 and t have two of these calculators with the same problem. Reset does not help. The HP Prime simulator also has the same problem. I have several HP Prime Guides and I cannot find anything that helps. The Trace feature does turn on and off, but no popup.
I am brand new to PPL and enjoying learning yet a new language. 1) I had to replace f with {f,[8]} in the input list for the program to accept an input function as shown in another comment. 2) I tried leaving off the ' ' from the function input and it works without it. That being said, I think your tutorial was excellent and quickly introduced me to many of the PPL functionality. Note: the firmware update was dated 2021, so that might be what changed the behavior.
Thank you for the excellent tutorial. I actually spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to pass a user supplied function as an argument to a program, and it's not obvious. Thankfully, your video showed me how!
is the game list specific to US games. I have a PAL UK PS2, copied iso's to hdd ran script, it finds drive and asks to title database but then outputs nothing. Does this mean nothing matched the database?
I'm using the same case and I can't close it even though I cut a lot of plastic, did you have to cut the pins that are under the CPU chip or cut something from the back?
hey man, do the file names need to include the game ID prefix? I have over 700 games without the prefix in the file names but I'd like to have the art in OPL
figured it out, they do not. The program reads the file data and retrieves the info from there. The program also does not seem to be able to write bin/cue files over, so you must convert to iso first
I ran into a problem where bin/cues where not being written by the script. I found out that some of bins actual file names did not match the reference to it, within the .cue. I had to go in individually and make sure they matched. This happened because I removed the "(USA)" originally.
