My spiritual father draws this distinction: foreplay that leads directly to natural sex on the one hand, and unnatural acts used to satisfy sinful lusts on the other. The first leads to procreation & the second obviously does not. With all our fast days/months, plus Saturday nights & those before feast days, our opportunities for sexual intimacy are quite limited. Added to this are the insanely busy schedules of modern life & the arguments that all spouses have. The less often a man has sex, the faster he orgasms. The faster he orgasms, the less the wife does. Female orgasms increase the likelihood of conception. Also, according to my spiritual father, a woman who rarely or never receives physical satisfaction from the marital union has an extremely high likelihood of taking her frustration out on her husband constantly & being very argumentative. What husband will even want sex with a wife like that? Will he force himself to do it even though it's become nothing but a chore for his wife? He'll feel like he's selfishly using her. Resentments & temptations to masturbate will follow for both, & maybe even to cheat. Romance? Flirting? Marital harmony will be destroyed, frequent & probably worse arguments will follow, children will suffer greatly, & divorce will continue its increase. THERE IS A HUGE DISTINCTION BETWEEN FOREPLAY THAT LEADS TO NATURAL SEX VERSUS UNNATURAL ACTS, OF WHICH THE SOLE PURPOSE IS TO MUTUALLY FULFILL CARNAL & SINFUL DESIRES. This distinction is never talked about & it needs to be. Other spiritual fathers/married priests I've talked to over the years have said the same as mine; moreover, I believe that's the overall message my godfather's gotten from his too, in both Russia & the US--@ least that's his opinion as a lifelong Orthodox, seriously spiritual, 70-something year-old, & highly informed/intelligent man. It's seemed like this is a given to me. Tell me, what man in his right mind would want to marry a woman he couldn't kiss & touch intimately before sex, knowing that infrequent sex will cause him to leave her almost perpetually unsatisfied? I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry: any married priest who argues against foreplay BEFORE THE NATURAL SEX ACT is virtue signaling how good he is in bed/how long he lasts. Does he repeat the mantra "Grandma, Grandma, Grandma" in his mind while he should be passionately kissing his wife? Look up the average times that men last, b/c it's not that long!!! And look up how many times/month the average married couple is physically intimate. Are we called to be superheroes? W/o foreplay, considering the average man's usual running time, and factoring in the sexual frequency of most married couples today, sex becomes a cruel joke for the wives. And men love their wives. Husbsnds don't want to treat them cruelly. CLERGY, MAKE THIS DISTINCTION, OR FLAT-OUT CALL ALL FOREPLAY SATANIC!!! We all know what the acts are. We know what the words are. Do this or tell women that their sexual satisfaction means absolutely nothing, thereby discouraging marriage, tempting spouses to self-abuse, & dragging us & our marriages to hell. May God judge us all. What marital harmony is there with an unsatisfied wife? What family harmony is there? Will the children want to remain Orthodox when their parents argue so frequently? What affection will there be? Women can get physical pain called "blue petals" from becoming inflamed/aroused without release. Men get it much worse (blue balls), & it's debilitating. The pain can be unreal, especially when your tubes formed in a twisted way (a common medical condition called varicocele that mostly affects men but can affect women too). I guarantee some fake pious person will call me out for being frank in my comment, but you & I both know that's an excuse when the bishop was talking about oral & anal sex, so check yourself first. And yes, this is obviously a topic I feel passionately about (in the English language sense of the word), b/c healthy & harmonious marriages are of the utmost importance. God will judge me if I'm wrong. I could care less if an online Orthodox commenter judges me. Engage with my main point or don't. Or call my priest, other priests I've personally talked with, & my Uncle's priest's in Russia sodomites, like some holier than thou pharisaical & virtue signaling weirdo--that's your choice. Might as well put up an online bumper sticker that you last way longer than the average guy in bed, huh? Or maybe you want to be a nun instead of a wife, b/c it makes you feel like a "martyr" (notice the quotes) in your marriage. More & more Orthodox RU-vid channels are featuring talks about how unnatural SEX is sinful, & this is truly the teaching of the church; however, never have I once heard one that distinguishes between these sins & foreplay that leads to NATURAL sex. Natural sex leads to procreation folks. Unnatural sex doesn't. Foreplay implies "before." I can't be the only one this situation bothers, especially when your average clergyman isn't a RU-vid content creator.

One day or another God will provide one for you or move you where you can be with believers 🥰. I used to be Muslim and I'm thankful I chose Christ over 5 years ago. I got baptized as a Lutheran but I am praying for the day we can find a true church to get re-baptized in the Holy apostolic church. Not every church - even Orthodox church - stands for the Lord Jesus Christ. If we leave all our worldly interests, passions, worldly desires and focus on the Lord, He is faithful to open up a safe church for us. He always keeps His Promises and I learned never to under-estimate the Power of the Lord Jesus Christ. I truly pray true Orthodox priests would be confident to speak up and also be confident to reach out to other people who don't believe in the Lord all over the world. Just recently came across this Holy elder. As a catechumen in the Church it gives me comfort to k or that despite the ecumenism and lukewarm mess that exists even in the Orthodox Church, the Holy Spirit is alive and well speaking through contemporary elders.

Through much Confession and many struggles I have found some relief from this passion, though it has morphed into something else after finding that relief. It will be a lifelong struggle but I know it can be used to strengthen my faith in Christ.

I have a question. If I repent and try become better, but sin again ( and I mean not just big sins, also the little ones that we do often) and a repent again and this goes my whole life will I still be saved? Or am I only going to be saved when I repent once and never sin again after that?
