No, the only cards that give bonuses are the research cards. I think there are some kind of representatives in some of the more recent expansions, but I don't have them.
Thanks for watching. If you like the Romulans, you should watch my second play through. The Romulans play a big part in that game. It also uses the first two expansions.
@@wolftooth6678 I do still play the game, love it. I was all up for doing a Borg play through, but was very disappointed with it. The rules were pretty poor. I know that fans have improved them, but I don't get much time these days, so it's unlikely I'm afraid.
Hey. Great video, really enjoyed it. Was wondering, how do you add those noise effects, for like, the doors and that? Is that post-production editing, or is there some way to add that in for normal games? Thanks.
Thanks, glad you liked it. The sound and other effects are put in during editing. Its a lot of work. I spend a lot of time searching RU-vid for the appropriate noises and special effects.
Hi. Really enjoyed this. You guys don't talk over each other and cover most of the rules. Yes, most games of Nemesis have one or two rules missed, but for the most part this was spot on. Cheers guys!
You can make a tactical maneuver after winning a space battle so the Ferengi could have moved both fleets into the V system and invaded the planet with both, increasing their odds of capturing it.
Well done for putting 3x playthroughs online. I liked your sound effects. I liked your enthusiasm. I have learned about the alien race void seeders through your video.(main reason I wanted to watch your play through) I am a backer on kickstarter May I suggest at end of your videos Please do a summary of the whole game experience, gives us your thoughts The good and bad parts of the game session, big highlight for you. Rate the voideseekers, etc 👋😁
Thanks for watching. Yes, I painted them. I did the paint scheme myself, though I had seen some with similar colours. I used mostly GW contrast paints,.
Thanks, I certainly don't make life easy for myself when it comes to the editing😃 As for mistakes, I know, it's extremely frustrating when I edit and see some of the stupid things I did😟
Thanks for watching. Damn it! I have a terrible habit of reading what I think is there rather than what's actually on the page. Thanks for letting me know, I'll correct it in the next video.
Alright...I usually speed through the opening hellos when watching these type of videos. You got me to watch the entire opening. And I subscribed too. Good Job.
During the last battle between Romulans and Klingons, you’ve put a correction that the Klingons should have had a chance to hit back. Even though they have no ship on that system anymore?
@@Cymrusaint yes, please, I just ordered borg nice to see your flow the game - nice is your talent for that. Your comment is flawor for that game. I wish to you a good health and fun from game. Nice good camera change point of view.
I have watched and enjoyed all of your videos for this game. never mind about mistakes no one plays games like these without a few little faux pas somewhere. Are you going to do another with the new expansions Vulcan etc?
Thanks Jack, unfortunately real life has got in the way and I've had to put the channel on the back burner. I would like to make more videos, but not sure when that will be.
@@Cymrusaint Anyway we will be there watching.very enjoyable videos. You seemed to be an excellent player even able to surprise yourself sometimes :-)!
Really enjoying the vid, only one teeny criticism. It is not hedgenemony, but hegemony with the g pronounced the same as in game. Every youtuber that has done an Ascendency vid, has mispronounced it also. i can now go back to your vid.
I have never heard it pronounced that way-I'm not sure where you heard that. As in most things where there is disagreement about pronunciation, I'm sure both are ultimately acceptable. Nonetheless, the soft g pronunciation is the only one I have ever heard in the context of this game or otherwise. www.google.com/search?q=pronounce+hegmony&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS761US761&oq=pronounce+hegmony&aqs=chrome..69i57.4456j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
8:40 Where does that rule come from? That someone slimed gets sound cube all around them "As long as the Character has a Slime marker on their Character Board, each Noise roll result of ‘Silence’ (and each ‘Silence’ Exploration token) should instead be considered as “Danger”.
That's correct, and with a danger roll, if there are no adjacent intruders a noise marker is placed in all corridors connected to the room, except corridors already containing noise markers. That's what it said in the version of the rules we were using.
Good question. We actually recorded the discussion of our objectives after the game, but the film editor in me decided it spoiled the ending. The Captain needed to get the ship to Mars, and the Soldier needed to get an egg back to earth. Which is why he confused us when he decided to get himself impregnated, he thought he'd do the next best thing. Anyway, everybody lost.
Andrei Playing a board game on the computer is never going to be as good as playing the real thing. But, Ken has done a great job with this, and until I get the game this is the only way of playing it. By the way, thanks for watching.
At 8:42 you discard a contamination card before you fill your hand. I don't see where the rules allow you to do that, for me contamination card stay in your hand, you have to use Rest, Shower, Canteen ....Action to "clean" you're hand. At 19:42 each melee attack you miss give you 1 Serious Wound .
Thanks for watching. When a player passes they can discard any number of cards from their hand into their discard pile, this includes contamination cards, the cards remain in the players deck. I should have done this when I passed but forgot, so as it was just a friendly game I did it when I remembered. The contamination cards remain in your deck and can only be removed from your deck by the ways you mention. Just had a quick check of the rulebook, page 10 discusses discarding cards to your discard pile. In the old rules it specified that this included contamination cards, but it doesn't here. If anyone knows if this has been changed, could they comment?
@@theboardgameden706 The actual rulebook which can be downloaded from Awaken Realms's homepage states on page 10 that after passing any number of cards may be discarded, including contamination cards.
I believe you should not have rolled for noise when moving into surgery around 4:05 because the exploration token had an X (do not perform a noise roll)
Thanks for watching. You had me worried. I loaded up the game again to double check, we were right, there are 8. The one just to the left of the hibernatorium is were they are kept.
From 1) Hibernatorium goes to 2) Cabins and 3) Canteen From 4) discarded room goes to 5) Cockpit From 6) (the room to the upper left of Hibernatorium) goes to 7) Hatch Control room, 8) Surgery room and 9) undiscovered room above (through corridor no. 3)
The Board Game Den Well shit happens :) I guess you gotta be extremely cautious not to mess up any rule in this game, unless you're pretty experienced. Anyway, thanks for sharing the video, it was still fun to watch, convinced me to get TTS and try the game myself and I hope we'll even get to play it together soon :D
I'm glad you enjoyed the play through, thanks for watching. I'm always up for a game of this. Fingers crossed we'll have the real thing in our hands within the next couple of months.
At 4:15, why didn't the Klingons have to do the Hazard roll after moving and ending their turn in a hazardous system? I'm not saying you did it wrong... I don't know what the rule is, here.
Every time the Federation discovers a Phenomenon or draw a civilization card they gain a culture token. You forgot to do that on minute 31:00 fo the first video. It´s the only good thing about the Federation :P Excellent videos. Thanks a lot to share it!
The federation also has the colonization fleet which allows them to save on culture expenditures. They have a lot of abilities that help them win the game faster.
Hey thanks for the vid. Wanted to just point out a mistake for the sake of your viewers. On 32:01 you used 3 commands to travel warp to 3 systems. You forgot to use up one more command to exit out of warp on the third system. That entire move should of cost you 4 commands total not just three.
Hi Jean Thanks for watching the videos and subscribing to the channel. Yes, if you think I made a mistake just take it that you are right, I made a lot of mistakes in his play through. It's hard playing all 4 factions, making sure all the cameras are working and trying to do a commentary. It's quite frustrating when I edit the videos and see the mistakes I've made, I make an absolute whopper in episode 5!
