I just bought the 38mm Twelve in "mango". I haven't tried the 36 version. The 38mm with my 6''5 wrist in sensational. The perceived quality is amazing for the price. It feels really premium. Love it !
I own 2 of them one in quartz I bought for duty use and bought the auto version last year as I love the size style and robustness. Try Windy City Watch Collector. They are an AD and I have used them several times and you will be surprised at the price.
Looks like the watch spec sheets and heritage 'speak' to you to get one. Suggest you to also check how easily (and price) Marathon can replace the tritium tubes if you intend to keep the watch over 10 years. My Ball Watch 'Mad Cow' tritium tubes were glowing strongly for the first few years. It's super cool to check the tinetime in total darkness without the need to charge it beforehand. Now after more than 15 years its lume is only as strong as my Casio MRW 200H right after sunlight exposure. My Seiko Monster bought at the same time still growing like a torch upon bright light exposure. It's costly and incovenient to send my watch away for tritium tubes replacement.
I'm 58 and going back to the 80's I still cannot get past the perception that Tudor is a poor mans Rolex. Don't get me wrong. There are a few models I love and would like to own. I do have a 79280 Tudor Tiger chronograph and in my opinion, it's as close as you can get to a Daytona. Would also like to add a vintage 7928 but prices are crazy. Since the black bay came out in 2012, I've been at the AD twice with one on the wrist and credit card in hand but last minute handed it back and bought a used 90's Rolex instead. I'm more into vintage Rolex and the BB 54 is tempting because it harks back to the 1950s submariners but I cannot get excited enough to fork over even $3,400 for a used one. The way I always looked at it is if you have $3,400, keep setting money aside for a used Rolex. Every Rolex I ever bought, which were all pre owned, except for one Submariner I bought new, increased in value.

This is the dumb guy who paid $8300 for a $6100 OP black dial because AD wouldn't offer him one which walk in customers can obtain.His advise you never build a relationship with your AD.Over 25 years collecting obtained my 6 Rolex collection all at Retail or a little below at same AD 36mm Two Tone Datejust,41mm Blue dial Datejust fluted,Sea Dweller in 2016 21% offAir king,Batman&Rootbeer and Black dial Daytona in steel.On that Journey I bought 2 Speedmasters,2 planet Oceans,Zulu Time and JLC Polaris which I sold off all but the Speedmasters.Lost $500 on Zulu lost $600 on Polaris lost $2000 on Planet Ocean's.That's $3100 I lost to help get access to the Rolex hot models the Daytona market is $11000 over what I paid,The Rootbeer is $5k and the Batman $6k the Sea Dweller 4000 is 6k over and Datejusts slick.Add that up $28,000 profits if I sold all 6 minus $3k loss on non Rolex means I net $25k better math than dummy knows how to do.lol
I have a wrist size of almost 21cm or 8 inches, and im wearing my oyster perpetual 1501 34mm sinds late 70s, i don't think it looks small or stupid on me, if i can pull it so do guys with smaller wrist sizes.
No one talks about the sapphire really I’ve noticed. I have a submariner and I have the TINIEST little scuff/scratch on the crystal. Top right. My cleaning cloth won’t take it out either. And I baby this thing. In an almost obsessive way ha. So what can I do? NO ONE else will see it but me or if they were to focus super hard on every aspect of the watch actively looking for damage. Regardless, I know, and it’s driving me crazy! Anyone got thoughts or advice? Save, “dude it happens” haha. I’m aware. Still drives me crazy 😎
As someone with alignment OCD, I can count on one hand the amount of Tudor Black Bays i've seen that have all their indicies aligned. 98% of the ones i've seen online or in person have some type of misalignment. It's fortunate that most people do not notice these types of things but it's still completely unacceptable.
To be fair, there are some issues with the Aqua Terra. I have both a 41 and 38mm AT (not the lacquer models). First issue is the bulkiness of the Omega. They are thick as a brick. They have useless lume. They lack micro-adjust on the bracelet. Are these a real problem? They are, because you are comparing to Rolex, which are thinner, have outstanding lume, and have micro-adjust. Fortunately, my 41mm is on a strap, and it is a great one. But in no way to I find my Omegas to be superior to my rolexes. (and NOMOS beats them both, BTW)
I like both platforms, and I’ve bought from both. That said, I have found literally dozens and dozens of replica watches advertised as authentic listed on EBay, and every single one of them I reported, and literally every damn time eBay responded to say there was nothing wrong with the listing and let it slide. Many of those replicas were not only advertised as authentic, but they have either included or offered the option for authentication. Who has the nerve to sell a fake watch, and double down by offering authentication service? A criminal, that’s who. Sure eBay would refund you for a bum purchase, but at that point you want the watch, not a story. That’s exactly what happened to me once. By comparison, the one time I found a replica listed as authentic on C24, it was pulled not even 2 hours later. EBay allows fraudulent listings, period. Caveat emptor!

Bought one of the more recent 10KZs (same as yours with the circle/ball bearings in the knife) with 1.4116 steel, and another older one without ball bearings (runs on teflon washers) and 8cr steel. Have one question, how's the detent on your 10kz? My detent is really weak but I'm going to take it apart to see if I can fix it. Cheers! These are sweet little blades!
You’re getting a reasonable cheap watch, is no good compare brands like Rolex or omega or any other brand relative to there prices. What you want in a watch is subjective and if you like what you see go for it. If we were honest, most people would like to own a Rolex,I would but I can’t justify the price.
This is objectively false. CW watches aren’t cheap, Seikos and Orients are, and CW’s quality beats Tudor and is matched with Omega and Rolex concerning fit and finish. CW lacks in movement and heritage. That’s it.

I have recently, their in House Manager for their Trade In's Department, Mr. Zalman I believe his name is and etc, recently told me a $7900.00 Baume and Mercier, Clifton Flyback Chronograph which I had Bought in Jan of this year, they told me it was worn to much which was absolutely False, it was Genuine and Brand New, it was a limited edition, I cleaned up the watch very nice before I sent it in, kept the box and paperwork, and everything with it, It was still keeping excellent time, and functioning correctly and everything, They Quoted me $1000.00 for trade In, I said okay great, they received it and it said because of a tiny little ding on the case it was to worn, and they were not interested, Because I wanted to trade for an EDOX Grande Ocean, Automatic Chronograph Diver, instead, even though the Baume et Mercier was still in excellent working order and everything, no scratches on the Sapphire Crystal, so no don't trust these people, and Don't Buy anything else from them in the further future they Lie.
Got sd 43 2 weeks ago and put watchshells on the clasp and cant even see rhe film..wore it a few days and had a couple scratches before adding film...my breitling superoocean thats polished definitely gets way less scratches even though much harder wear
Absolutely loving my C63 Valour and C60 Atoll Shark White. I will say that CW makes an amazing watch, but the Customer Service I received just horrible. For that reason alone I will never buy another CW watch again, and have been collecting for over 30 years now. It's sad when a company like CW has an amazing product, but their customer service kills the experience and memory of owning that watch. Let me explain. It started when I ordered the C60 Atoll. Somehow I was charged duties and customs when I live in the US. I emailed CW and a day later I got a email stating that they knew of the glitch and they were waiting on their Operations Manager to figure it out and for all the hassle I would receive a free watch band. And CW would get back in touch when they figured it out. Well I waited for 3 weeks while CW forgot about me. I emailed CW again asking where is my refund, and then fun started. Between computer glitches, sending me order confirmations but not standing behind them, people not doing what they say they will do, and the last straw was with Matthew Thomas the Operations Manager not doing ANYTHING he said he would do in a email to me......I'm done with this company. And my advice as a watch collector for over 30 years is this. There are many other companies out there that are making just as good if not better watches for the same price or cheaper. Honestly I would buy a Longines and spend the extra few hundred or thousand. You're getting an amazing watch with history and heritage attached to it, along with outstanding customer service directly from Longines. But to each their own. Customer Service to me is everything in a company, and unfortunately CW is lacking it.
I have bought a tudor bb58 from ebay. I have received a watch through their authenticity guarantee with a loose case back that I could turn with my hand. I have sent it back to be tightened however they refused to pressure test it for more than 2bar despite they have opened it and broke the seal. Nor they check for condensation. It was an iso certified diver less than a year old, still under manufacturers warranty. Should I wish it to be waterproof again, it has to go back to tudor for an extra £400 service.
@@coldpizzawatchreviews Thank you for the advice. I did try, their official response was that they had to open the watch to authenticate and there for they do not guarantee water resistance of any kind. I cannot return the watch as the seller sent it exactly how it was listed. Check mate basically
Great review of a great watch and company in C Ward. I have the c63 Ukraine SE. Nice watch and close to my heart through heritage. Curious if you have experience with the Longines conquest GMT. I've tried the black version on the rubber strap and on overly impressed. Curious your thoughts, again nice review and this CW looks great.
Love the look of the watch!! I had the the Atoll (non GMT) unfortunately there was tons of bezel play. QC seems to be hit and miss. I like their latest releases but very hesitant on purchasing from them again. Great review 👍
