I'm and artist and independent researcher. I read "classic" quilting (and related) books, and talk about all things textiles and sewing. Sometimes I even have guests. I stream twice a week on Twitch - Mon & Thurs, 2pm ET - twitch.tv/stephaniecake.
We were celebrating my granddaughter's birthday yesterday, so I had to catch this stream as a video. I have grown cotton before. It was the easiest plant ever. Each bush produced multiple colors of flowers. It was very hardy. We did this as a family because my husband's mother was born in 1945 to cotton share-croppers and helped them work in the cotton fields until she started first grade. We wanted our children to have first-hand experience with what that meant. We only had three or four bushes, so there wasn't enough cotton to use for anything.
