Oh my! My granddaughter loves giraffes. She may be getting that beautiful wall hanging as a gift. It may be a Christmas gift by the time I get it done but she'll over it. LOL
I have the same hoop, Martin, so I assume you have a Brother Embroidery machine? I have never had to pin my stabiliser and I leave very little margins but what I do it I tighten the screw up by hand until I can't tighten it any more and then I use the tool to tighten it more. I have been using this method for a couple of decades at least and I have never had stabiliser shifting. I would also worry that using pins in this way might invalidate the warranty. These hoops are made to be secure and tightened using the tool provided and will secure the stabiliser so it won't move at all.
