Applied Medical Technology, Inc. (AMT) is a global leader in the development, design, and manufacture of enteral feeding devices, accessories, and surgical products. We are honored to serve the global community as we continue to introduce innovative products and materials, designed to increase patient comfort while improving patient outcomes.
Our Founder/CEO, Dr. Picha, co-invented and manufactured the first low profile gastrostomy button, changing the enteral nutrition community forever.
Over time, AMT’s product portfolio has evolved to include nasal tube retention systems, innovative solutions for pediatric jejunal feeding, safe tube securement options, bowel management, and a complete line of ENFit® products. AMT’s patient focus has even led to the development of an enteral nutrition mobile app: AMT ONE Source®.
With this type of tube inserted, where should it be actually inserted to? Stomach. duodenum, or jejunum? I have a lot of leakage past few months with my tube. It has never been re-positioned in my life time and we think the tube might need to be re-positioned. I have it since late 1989
A G-tube or gastric tube would access the stomach, by definition. I believe this style is regularly replaced every 3-6 months, depending on the manufacturer or your provider's recommendations. The retention balloon and materials degrade with time and exposure to stomach acid.
