Our 2023 C8 HTC 3LT is an upgrade from our 2008 3LT Convertible with a 6 speed manual. The C8 has front lift, performance exhaust (non-Z51), magnetic ride, and is the best vehicle this 75yo has ever driven in his life. The Miata would be fun, the C8 is as close to perfection as I have ever driven. Great video!
Beautiful machine, and you review cars very well... If only the camera was pointing the other way so we can see the dash and out the windshield of your S5 while you're driving it... Then your video would be perfect!
Beautiful example of the final year for Triton based 4.6 3 valve modular GT’s. Those heads were designed like motorcycle heads with almost a straight path down into the combustion chamber, they had good flow properties. For big numbers a stronger reciprocating assembly was needed.

Our Arctic White 2023 3LT HTC non-Z51 with magnetic ride, front lift, performance exhaust, and carbon flash painted low rear spoiler, top, nacelles, wheels, and other trim pieces is perfect for us. We will never track it and we enjoy the great handling and acceleration it provides. I drive it as much or more than my 2021 Toyota Highlander even though this 75 yo body with spinal stenosis and 3 hip surgeries in the last 5 years wonders why. It’s a great, comfortable, and exhilarating vehicle to drive. I thought I would miss the manual transmission in the C6 convertible we traded in, the C8 is the best car I have ever driven. We did need the front lift for our driveway, we plan on taking many long trips in this car.

Kind of surprised to see how this car is being washed, I wasn’t expecting it after seeing the water setup in the garage. Maybe this car went in for a paint correction after? Maybe the car has a PPF wrap? I personally do not recommend washing any vehicle this way. At the very least use a rinse bucket with a grit guard. He actually commented about swirl marks, this method of washing will unequivocally leave swirls!! There’s TONS of videos out there that show the best methods to properly wash a vehicle regardless of using a pole or by hand.
Hello, I'm trying to find out what are the differences engine-wise between a 2009 stage 3 and a 2010 stage 3. Since both came with the 4.6 Supercharged V8, not the Coyote engine and there is a big pump in horse power from 430hp in 09 to 540hp in 2010, while keeping "the same" engine. Thanks! Looking at the only 2010 427R in Peru.
The 10 has a better 2.3 tvs and also has forged internals. It's by far the best of that era roushes I like it better than the ones with the gen 1 coyote they have higher power potential with the forged 3v.
I'm looking at one very similar priced at $41k, >20,000mi in WA. I'm questioning the purchase because a used 2021 A5 covers my needs, but doesn't have the power or exhaust note. Please advice :)
What year is the S5? That sounds like a pretty reasonable deal. I would say stretch to the S5 if you can. The extra power and exhaust note is worth it and resale value will definitely be better.
I haven’t had any except oil and filter changes etc. knock on wood! Maintenance at an Audi dealer is expensive so I take mine to a local import shop and oil changes only $125 as compared to $350 at the dealer. Did cabin and air filter myself. Thanks for watching. Good luck.
I totally agree with you. I have a large SUV and it works great for the top of the car and the windshield but on the sides it misses a lot due to the curve so I stopped using it on the sides but it's perfect otherwise. Keep up the good work
Apologies for my delay. Standard suspension and it’s still great. City roads it’s decent I would say. Not harsh but you do feel the road some but nothing that would keep me from buying one. Mild trade off for how good drives and handles. Thanks for watching. They are great cars!

Never noticed that there's no grab handles on the inside roof, my A3 has them. Could be a deal breaker when it comes to upgrading as I've got family members with mobility issues. Why Audi, why? It makes no sense.

Agree with all that you say but 17 mpg - eeek!! My 40 tfsi, granted not as quick, but plenty quick enough for road use, will do 64mpg on a long run at 70. Down to about 57mpg in more mixed driving.
Slight caveat to my previous comment. I’m talking British gallons (greater volume than US gallons - who knew, huh?) so the equivalent would be 20 mpg average and 52 mpg at 70 mph. Also mine is a ‘21 car - that mild hybrid technology makes a big difference
Yes, the corvette is fast and cool. I found mine to be numb and unconnected so I sold it and bought my 2018 Club. Actually my 300 whp Club would be a better side by side. Great vid.
@@drewmorg.if you haven’t had a miata id say get one drive it for a year and two life is short. Youll soon get tired of how slow it is and want something more “modern and something with more speed” especially if you take it out in the highway the miata can get a little scary going over 70mph especially if its slammed like i had mine. the only car that will give you the same feeling is a c5. Then you can sell the Miata put 7k on it and get a c5. If budget is tight (gas and insurance and parts) cheaper on miata. If you dont care about insurance, gas, maintenance then get the c5. Miata is also very easy to work on where a 17 year old kid that never turned a wrench knew how to fix up.
The prewash foam soak isn't going to remove all surface contaminants. Washing the whole car down in one pass with the pad without cleansing it will result in untold damage. Just lazy.
I drive an s2000. I assume the Miata is more fun. Gives a greater sense of speed while going slow. Can hit redline going 1-3 gears without becoming a felon. Also standard 6 speed shifter is part of the fun having to rev match. The Vette, you need to be in a closed off track to even have fun.
My first car was a slammed all blacked out 97 miata manual when i was 17. Ive driven many many cars from corvettes c4-c7 even z06. Porches. Rolls royces. All the M package cars from m2-760i even a 900hp camero that i was scared to floor in 4th gear. I can continue on and on and i can stand up here and say the funniest, most head turning, car you sit in and just smile was my miata. Even with its leaky top. I miss that car. Thats why im looking at c5s now. I feel like i need to get the daddy and its only car that checks all the boxes for me from reliability to looks.
Thanks for the video. I'm torn between the Coupe and Hard Top Convertible, which is an extra $7k. I don't need a hundred options, but that has me torn. Would you have opted for a convertible if the price was the same?
My only worry is scratching, since we should be changing the pads out often or to rinse the mop out frequently. I plan to mainly use it for the roof and use sponges for the sides. Deciding between this and the Incredipole by microfiber madness. Thanks for the review though!
thats exactly how i use... only on suvs, for the roof, and pads/mits/towel for everything else... works great, remove after use, and rinse soap off and air dry, no issues, use around 10 times (im not a proffesional detailer).. for cars, i dont use it at all..
I like the car but I'm not a fan of the uni-directional rims. You can't even do a simple thing such as rotate the tires in your own garage because you need to swap tires on 2 of the 4 rims each time. Then of course every time you bring your car to the tire shop they scratch your wheels. I'm surprised that uni-directional rims come on lower-priced cars nowadays where maintenance cost is a selling point.
