Salut!
Fire intinse!
Thx! They are totally different. The 1000 size has 5.1:1 gear ratio while the C2500SXG has a 6.3:1 gear ratio. The start up inertia for 2500 Is considerably higher compared to the 1000 size. They are both excellent reels, but in different usecases. For example, the 1000 size is very good for regular speed retrieving when you fish for chub, pike or zander. While the 2500 size it's an excellent reel for asp fishing where you need a very fast lure retrieving speed. Stay tuned to my channel, probably in the summer I will upload a lot of asp fishing videos.
Subscribed! My only concern is the spool size. I'm getting a better deal on C2500s so I'm wondering if that shallow spool will have enough line on it for all around fishing: asp, zander, perch and occasional pike. I'm using 0,16mm braid and C2500s can fit 120meters while 1000 can fit 190meters. Should I go with the better deal on C2500s or pay more for the 1000? Thanks!
@@K0ub1Basically this problem has a pretty easy solution. In your case, I would go with the better deal, so you buy the C2500S, and knowing the fact that Shimano reels with C (compact) marking have the body from the next size below, so basically it's size 1000 with a different spool, you can easily buy another 1000 size spool and fit it to your reel. Btw, that line you mention is #1.0 (0.16mm) which in my opinion is a bit too thick... If you invest to buy a new reel, also calculate a premium fishing line... Varivas Max Power PE X8 150m 14.5lb/#0.6/0.128mm Lime Green it's very reliable and strong. Note that, a thinner line will significantly increase your casting distances :)
Nice video and pretty good fight from that Asp in a fast current 😊 Few days ago i bought that same rod - Fobya, and seeing this i cannot wait to try it. Are you satisfied with Fobya?
@@RiverSpinner Finnaly got the time to test my Fobya rod. Rafts in Zagreb/Croatia, one Asp aprox. 2 kg and a catfish that was way too big for my setup, he schooled me properly and escaped into some big rocks, it was hopeless. Fobya is absolutely fantastic 😀
