Put some work into a bmw x5, my buddy’s 3rd gen 4Runner has half the mileage of my e53 and we drive to the same places and he’s been having more issues lately. Transmission won’t shift unless he’s doing it manually for example and the back window motor went out. Also had bad fuse box connections recently
Why do u guys worship these dinosaur station wagons so much? Underpowered, crappy brake system, crap radiators, timing belt, loud....it looks like gazoo from fred flintstone
The oil leak got worse when you but the oil because it ran most of its life on conventional oil and when you but synthetic oil it oil leake form everywhere. drain the oil and but some 10w30 and see if that fix it
Replace both doors. Front door is beyond repair. They’re made to replace not straighten. Section quarter. Blend fender and rear bumper. And sell it. Good video man
Yeah, I hope you fixed your ground, like a previous commenter said, it’s not connected and that’s what’s arcing and burning a hole in your oil pan. There are many good RU-vid videos on this truck. “Timmy the Toolman” great contributor. I’ve 3 of these trucks so far, 2 in my garage. There’s a video of the most common issues with these trucks all simple to fix. Once you get these done, this truck will last forever.
You ask what you should do? You buy a camera stand. Doing things one hand, while holding phone and filming with second hand is disrespectful to the audience...
Currently rebuilding one as well I was pissed that the rad support didn’t come with the headlight brackets 😂 I Amazon primed em gotta do some pulling the frame a bit tomorrow & car should be on the road
Your main ground is shorting out on the oil pan. Thats why the smaller ground is getting hot. Its not rubbing but grounding out and burning metal. That ground goes on the drivers side behind the alternator.
Not gonna lie I follow a few car rebuilders on YT your channel is probably my top five! You’re the guy that does the build with a set budget. A real DIYer rebuilder
Hi Friend, Your vids are awesome! This is Alloyworks! We specialize in the production of automotive radiators, heat exchangers, and cooling system components. We're wondering if we could collaborate. Would you like to put our products to the test and review them on your channel?
I upgraded a bunch of my battery wiring to 4AWG and it fixed a lot of my ghost electrical issues. Timmy the Toolman has every video you need for our 3rd gen’s. You really found a great deal this is one of the cleanest 300k+ I’ve seen
Thanks for the video on your new Gen 3 4Runner. New to you. I have one like it same color but yours is nicer not half beat like mine. Mine is good mechanically and a clean frame. I put a 2 inch hitch and carry a couple bikes to the trails I’m gonna get new lower ball joints before mine break. 236k
Great find, rust free example. Yes these are bullet proof, but definitely do some basic maintenance, chekc the timing components, do a proper oil change, diff fluid , brake fluid coolant check. Buy some decent speakers and a backup camera and you'll be set
Check the rear main seal .. they tend to leak a lot of oil ! That or the valve cover gaskets can get bad also ! Just some maintenance and she will go another 200k with ease !
Imagine cheaping out on the only piece of the car that touches ground and makes you steer, stop and go ,guys never cheap out on tyres it can mean your life ,also disappointed in you bro new rims and not new tyres ,thats some gsxer bro shit
