Seems like the worst place to be in on the last lap down south is first. Wonder what would happen if first place just lifted after taking the white flag forcing second place to go to the outside and then just tried to hold them there the rest of the lap. Shit I'd give it a try. When they're on you like that you know you're gonna get dumped last lap
I feel theres a difference between moving someone because you're faster and they're in your way, and dive bombing someone so you can steal a win. Those guys were pretty damn even though. Moving people is way more tolerated in karting than most other forms of dirt racing.
Yea that little bump to the left rear in the last turn might be a bit difficult to explain as "accidental contact". Around here, a little bumping during the race was usually overlooked, but they did watch pretty close on the final laps. Afterall, it's called "Kart racing", not "Bumper karts". Good stuff Frank!
Agreed . They should ban all tire prep. Make them run tires straight up. Only siping or grooving and cutting allowed. No tire prep. Introduce the sniffer. Changes the game and levels the playing field. Kart racing is not racing its chemical warfare! Best doped tires win ! I’m open for discussion
Barely moving the wheel at all...that's how you set up a kart...had he had a drafting partner he could've been in contention much earlier than the last lap
That had to be a tough pill to swallow. Going from the leaders back bumper to the back of the pack. Watching them go by was painful. It's funny how something like that happens and sends a driver to the back. They become more determined than ever and proceed to put together some of their best laps.
