I have a very old but excellent Altendorf saw .. The blade suddenly dropped and now we can't wind it up and down ! We opened panel up and cleared loads of sawdust and still loads to clear .nothing appears to have snapped . Any ideas what the problem.coild be??
Are you kidding me? Griggio is completly closed since 5-6 years, and since 15 years almost all machines was made in china. I don't believe that cut better and with more quality the griggio that the Altendorf saw
@@alboch6826 I don't know about a Griggio, but when I was looking 20 years ago I went with an SCMI over an altendorf, people I talked to said that they were not worth the extra money that If was going to spend that much go with a Martin, That being said, I bought an SCMI and its still dead on almost 20 years later, I am very happy with it
So much more to go wrong on these new saws. Then they send out some dumb chump technician to fix it badly and you have a very expensive saw to trade in.
Buena maquina pero deberían pensar en poner 2 discos de retestado o perfilado en diagonal en vez de 1 que accione para el inicio del detalle y el final de detalle de esta manera tienen menos desgaste en discos de corte. Just got one at the shop, so far in love with it. easy set up and parts come out clean. a few thing that I don't like have been the single trim for front and back. the old one had 2 and could do parts as small as 2 inch. iv had the k36 destroy parts 4 inch. also the running width has to be 3 inch, not a big deal but the old one could do 2 inch and it was a far cheaper system.
also the rail is hard to move in and out for lauger parts. Has two lags in the middle for support and needs the lags. but the shop floor slopes 1/4 from end to end so its not as easy as just push the rail in for a smaller part like it should be.
