Great video, Liz. You mentioned you applied to jobs 2 months before you moved from Boston. Were you able to get interviews/were you hired that way? Or did you interview/get hired once you were in San Antonio? My wife and I will be relocating to SA from the Los Angeles area sometime in 2025. I'm wondering if I'll be considered even though I'm not in SA yet. Thank you!
I was able to get a few interviews before getting to San Antonio, through either phone interviews with the recruiter and a few zoom meetings. The job I am currently in, I interviewed in person a week after I got to San Antonio. I do think applying ahead before getting to the state helped me secure a job as soon as I got here. Thank you for your comment!! 💗💗

Wow, from Boston to SA. I know you’re loving the open space. Make a trip to Corpus Christi soon. A lot of people from SA make that drive to Corpus for the weekends.
I live in California all my life I go to Texas to visit.i been there many times.i felt the scorching heat in the summer.i has family that went there and then they end up coming back.texas is beautifull don't get me wrong.i like it but California temperature is great.we have some neighbors from Texas that they moved from Texas and came to live here .
Been living in San Antonio for 25 years downtown there’s tons of bikers and scooters and motorcycles!!! Especially near the Riverwalk YES YES AND YES THE SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY IS AMAZING HERE COMPARED TO OTHER STATES I GREW UP IN SUBURBS OF Detroit and man compared to there hospitality is great!!
I’m so happy I came upon your video and I’m so HAPPY in the first one to comment too! 😊❤ I myself moved out of state to start over and I didn’t know how to explain it but you explained it well in this video 💯 I think moving somewhere you don’t know is the best place to start if you want a change of life and discover more of yourself and what you love/don’t love I thought it was the end of the world when I moved away (not really) but I was upset I wasn’t happy then it just got better and I became more independent and kept a good job down then I was able to built my life from there and decided if I wanted to move back or stay or move somewhere ELSE! At the end… I was able to find myself and I became more independent then ever I never needed my family for anything and I was able to live my OWN LIFE ❤
Hiii, thank you so much for your comment. 🥰💗 that is exactly how it felt like it was the end if the world but after two years I have been able to see all the positive things moving out of state has brought me. I am so happy you have been able to find yourself and hope you fulfill everything you are looking for 💗💗
I'm DR n PR been here 21 years moved from NY. Only Carribean food I could find out here for the longest time was La Marginal now there are more food trucks that serve Caribbean food. For me to get DR food I go to Houston ... there are a few restaurants out there.
