There was some floating pearl weed in my tank that started to emerge from the water, I snipped off a piece and put it in this enclosed clear box where I've been growing some moss. It's taking off like nuts and even started created tiny flowers. I'm happy to say it also doubles as a terrestrial plant, assuming it stays moist. Very versatile plant indeed!
Great info. Nice that you include brand names etc so it's easier to find exactly what you're using. My biggest pet peeve is DIYers who say "you can get it at any store."
I Have these fish also in my 220 liter tank. And i both them as just a side fish from the main fish. But now I really like these fish so much. But I would like to learn how they lay there eggs. And i read that they don´t have breeding care? What is your opinion about that
I just read the forum on Kenny back in 2021. Sad news. I learned a lot from you and bought a lot of discus before I had to give my 125 away to a trusted keeper before I moved from WI to GA in 2019. Time does fly and thank you Kenny 🙏
I live in Austria (Germany) so ebo is close here , the plecos really love the food but what i dont unterstand there is only 12% mussel inside thats nothing for that price , there gives a other food from discusfood there 50% inside maybe im ready for a test
Lovely video.❤ Sorry I know it is a old video. You said that you add GH/kh+ to get the TDS up.🤔 I felt that were a strange move. 🤔 Who cares about TDS.. I feel that the aquarium community is caring about TDS to much.. Let me explain what I mean. We know and I have first hand experience that when we get to high GH and kh then we get molting issues like ring of death. (To much magnesium that we measure in gh (calcium and magnesium), will make the exoskeleton to elastic and issues)😢 And we also know that TDS is just only showing that there is something in the water.. ..but not what that something more precisely.. So the consequence is that level to monitor and care about is kh and GH.. And that TDS is secondary! So with that background it is strange that you add salt GH and kH without knowing or measuring what levels they are at when that is the important part and TDS is just for fun.. I mean fun in like to first get the levels of GH an kh right for your species then you can check TDS for just the fun of it..😂 I have a TDS pen but just check my RO water to see if it still filter adequate or need a new filter replacements. And it is easy to measure kh with jbl drop test (the GH is following rellative to kh with the ratio that is in the salt. So you don't need to measure that.).🎉
What type of air system do you reccomend I’ve been breeding on accident and now have a good thing going I’ve got an fx2 on the tank though and even with the prefilter I feel like I’m loosing fry I have tetra air pumps I could hook up for now I think to the hydro pros…? Maybe hopefully? And then when they die I’d like to have something I have a little more faith in thanks great video
