Theres somthg comforting to know these famous people also had a tough time in school;it makes the pain of the memories almost bearable....I am not alone.
I don't know if it's the fact that they are famous, maybe it's the fact that they managed to do something wonderful and big in scale with their lives. I agree with what you said.
George never won any awards in all of his SW films which i think he deserves to have won even once💁🏻♀️💯sadly Hollywood same as Disney is corrupted and greedy thats why they hated this man💁🏻♀️💯
Delia Smith on Desert Island Discs spoke about finding PEACE the other day. I believe seeking inner PEACE instead of pleasure is a good way to describe Lucas's point.
It's like your first love/romance when you're a teenager. Even if you fall in love later in life, it'll never, ever be that way again. Discovering the opposite sex/romance is frozen in time.
Ron Howard reminds me of what what Leonardo Da Vinci said, in reply to a Church patron who thought his artwork was taking too slow to produce; he is reported to have explained that it seemed like he hadn't started the art for such a long time because of how 9 tenths of a work of art is done in conception and only 1 tenth in its execution.
What a sweet guy and it hurt to hear that horrible woman stole his Yellow Badge. I'm not a fan of public schools but the parents know even less than the teachers.
Lucas loved to build things, and he did. He built the most successful, wonderful, and inspiring franchise in cinematic history, then he sold it to Disney, and they destroyed it.
George, we’re sorry for being POS to the prequels. Yes, they’re very flawed, but they came from a place of love and good. You’re a better man than any of us.
I would like Lucas to repeat that speech, giving me a million dollars for every word he utters. Let’s see about each other’s JOY after that! I will pray for America. Please pray for me. God Bless you.
Newsflash: he donated to charity the entire 4 billion he got for selling his company to Disney. Since this speech is roughly 2000 words long, he gave away twice as much as you selfishly demand from him. Clown.
Lucas was never a bad guy. A little quirky and just can’t write screenplays. When he has help he shines. Left to his own devices, he’s decidedly mediocre. It he’s a good guy.
He’s a timeless genius. I think he’s the classic case of a genius ahead of his time. Especially in the 70s and 80s, to be so rooted in classical mythology and eastern philosophy, these were considered abstract concepts to a lot of mainstream Americans at the time. Paired with his love and passion for film, pulp sci fi and classic serials, there’s a lot going on in his work. It makes sense that the deeper cultural significance and symbolism in those films have taken several decades to peel back. But in the meantime, society does what it does best and labels concepts or people they don’t understand as ‘crazy.’ You’re a treasure George, thank you for your work.
