Oatmeal, syrup and coffee for breakfast i.e. you are running on carbs, sugar and caffeine, plus lots of stress. This is a recipe for long term health problems. From one engineer (40 yrs.) to another.
Hello greetings pi !! im also being a civil engineer, with my concerning issues of working life curiosity, can i just have some ideas from you ? currently im a fresh graduate from civil & structural engineering, can i have your discord or instagram account ? if you dont have any discord account i will suggest you to make a server with civil engineering topics a lot peoples will join surely
I became a chartered structural engineer in 1988 so nice to be reminded of those fun days designing stuff. Nowadays I am nearly retired and last 10 years doing more project management roles means you almost forget how to do design. If I could do it all again though, I would.
Hi! I’m a teenage girl from France and I’m really starting to stress over my decisions, so could you please help me and tell me how you became a structural engineer, what was it like, what’s your experience and all that please please please 😭🙏
Wow great video. I appreciate your videos and little sneaky humors haha. I'm an enthusiast in engineering, and would like to learn stuffs :) Please, what applications do you use to draw those plans and to do structural design? Thank you for your response.
That's the difference between india 🇮🇳 and USA 🇺🇸 Here parents force his/her son/daughter to pursue engineering or mbbs without asking her/him interest Anyways iam pursuing structural engineering
Hey I just subscribed I’m in my 2nd year of Civil Engineering I always had the question in my head Why would you design the same thing over an over again can you just not write it down somewhere and copy it when required I don’t mean to be rude ❤
Because it's never exactly the same :) but you're correct that it doesn't take the same amount of time to design something the 4th time as the 1st time because some pieces stay the same.
So glad you “tricked” yourself into being a structural engineer and proud of you for using the negative comments to inspire your curiosity and motivate you. You are amazing! Another fantastic video😄
Hey Pi . I missed your video for a long time. At least 11 months later you uploaded. I really enjoyed this video and it motivated me a lot. I'm also a part of this profession, doing BSC in civil engineering (Structural Engineering). Currently my thesis project is running. Please don't give up, just make more content like this. You are making good quality content, i am sure Your channel will definitely grow rapidly. I'm really waiting for your next video. God gives you a happy & healthy life. 💝 Love from Bangladesh.
@@learnwithpi I'm writing to kindly ask you if you are interested in collaborating as a structural engineering influencer with a company providing software and engineering consultancy services.
hello i am your fan, i had your videos, i am civil engineer but i want to be estructural engineer, i speak spanish, my ingles is level intermediate i think.
I will get dressed 😂😂😂😂 Contractor: all the concrete came back with low strength is absolutely killing me 😭😭😭😭😭. We had a C30 design but the strength result is showing 18N/mm2 😭
Although I am an electrical engineer. I really enjoyed your video. My niece wants to become a a structural engineer and I am trying to learn about the discipline to help her. I will refer her to your channel. Thanks for providing such valuable information. If had to choose a field besides electrical engineering it would be structural engineering. I love analysis of any kind. Structural seems to have nice analysis and calculations components to it. Similar to power systems analysis and system protection in electrical engineering.
Good luck to your niece in her studies! There is a comforting similarity between different engineering fields; I'm sure you will be able to relate to your niece as she goes through her career :)
As a structural engineer from Russia with more than 8 years of experience, I can totally relate to it. Apart from the fact that I prefer working from the office just because the atmosphere is more suitable 😊
Can you make more video like this one? I like the way you explain things as you didn't overcomplicated the words you use and your voice is really easy to listen to.
Just passed the FE, studying for the structural PE, would you be open to an interview? . . . What about being a mentor! PI is a talker, I’ve got two cats (Calico and Norwegian) that are very vocal as well!
Hii guys, I got offers from 3 universities: 1. University of East London- MSc Structural Engineering (with Industrial Placement) 2. Anglia Ruskin University- Construction Project Management 3. Coventry University, Coventry - MSc Civil Engineering Project Management so, if u have an idea, what do u suggest me to take as per course and universities????
Cool video thanks for sharing! I graduated with a geology bachelor's and now currently do environmental research in a hybrid setting. I've been thinking about pursuing engineering as a master's but haven't made up my mind yet. This provides great insight into some of the work you do.
