Mine came with plenty of stakes, the corners have never lifted up like yours does.....if you try to stake it out too widely, you pull the tent too tight....which makes the poles seem too long..... I figured that out on first set up.....putting the stakes closer to the tent pulls it down to ground......which seems very basic? I wonder about the amount of ventilation that doesnt close off. Seems like it could get windy inside,
I use this lantern in a two person tent. It warms the tent up almost instantly. The tent, a Storm Break 2, has a lot of mesh with the rain fly preventing the heat from rapidly escaping to the atmosphere. I keep a small fire extinguisher about the size of a paint spray can in the tent. I use a 1 pound propane cylinder for fuel with an adapter on the lantern. I use a plastic base expander on the propane cylinder…it has feet that swivel out for stability. Keep the lantern away from combustibles like tent walls, clothing, etc. use a carbon monoxide detector if concerned about CO. Don’t run the lantern at night. Turn the lantern off if moving about in the tent to avoid knocking it over. If you need to get up at night, the lantern ignites instantly and warms the tent immediately. Keep a sharp knife handy to cut your way out of the tent in case of a fire you can’t extinguish. Be very careful if you choose to use any lantern or stove in a tent. This is my personal choice and is not meant to endorse using this lantern by others.
Service and parts? Forget about it! I've run a C40 for 1.5 years off grid/solar and it's run great (in the MO. Ozarks) until recently. After it cools to temp and shuts off the temp slowly creeps up past the set point of 42. I was a refer tech in the Navy in 75. This data sheet is a great help....I may have it running right. Thanks and if you learn any new info please post it.
Thanks for the test and REALISTIC review of "does work marginally better, not magic bullet." Seems like some reviews either sing it's praises or denigrate it, no middle ground.

Hi, I have the Crua Tri now in 3 years, and owned many tents before big and smaller...used the Tri from 3to 5 week every year in denmark so. Mainly from may til sept. it gets both cold and warmer up here.. Its a super coldweather tent for sure. Maybe one of the best there is !The bad news is that as you think about in direct sunlight with little wind it DOES get quite hot because they did not think to build more cross ventilation in this tent, and the small ones on the sides low does not really do very much once its normal sunny summer..20 to25 celcius, and upwards, so one is left with the air that can come in or out in front and keeping the front door OPEN, and its a shame as its a very nice little tent and I really love it, even it should have been slightly taller..like 170 to 180 cm. and a little wider and longer...I say its a shame because as I wrote to Crua telling them my ideas and they later oly changed to make the awning longer from last model... mesh windows in the back higher up would do wonders for air circulation here !! ..like in the new bigger cottage model. If the also made the sidevent slightly bigger and would put a window in the front room it would be very great.... it is completely dark in frontroom,, once you close it, when I have to cook and move around its not practical to not have a least a mesh windows. Things like that they could do BETTER and really improve it to be a 10 of of 10 tent ! Would cost very little in weight or price to improve...they did listen to me about making the awning longer but did not listen well in the above so maybe someone else make a tent that is better with same good quility, but a bit taller which is what drives me most crazy often, as it just 10 cm and I would feel great using the front room then..the inner room is perfect..with the windows on the side to look out and all the zipper and systems to roll them up and control light is great. The welcro zipper in the door into the inner bedroom is very noisy and I started to put a tovel over so it does not catch the extra door once iroll it down.. the good for cold weather is if all layer are closed it really hold the heat in nicely. Its a shame the they decided to loose the side windows in the new cottage and put them all in the middle room, and I think even the tecnology of temperature in the crua`s is very well they lack to rethink their look and design to take it up a notch to give make it more efficient space. I would have widen and highened the crua Tri to make a more straight safari kind of porchstyle ending plus some full side meshwindows in frontroom, so the front is more useful and open withd complete vertical and boxy frontroom and keep the inner of the tristyle with windows to enjoy looking out direktly straight andsides on a any day or sunny ! The feeling of this is very important. Im sure the socalled sunroom is a treat on the cottage, but to sit in your inner and look out on nature is what really make me love this tent and in the cottage they took away both sidewindow views and frontview from the inner, so its im sorry its a NO from me buying another Crua even I was very ready to upgrade to get standing hight...I wish they would merge their already wellworking features and learnsomething from other tentmakers like kodiak canvas or springbar andturn the design in direction of a traditional safaristyle tent that has the crua sofware of insulation. Its easy to make it even better designwise, to go further and combine whats out there. I have the sunprotection as well..it gives a little less heat, but so wish I had a few more mesh vent instead on the hot days ! When its 22-25 outside it went up to to 28 29..presentday speaking right now as im now camping in the Tri writting to you !... get slightly humid feeling inside once its this kind of warmer weeks..air movement is missing, but I enjoy having the tent darkness in sunny day ! I hope they keep adjusting their design til they get it great andwish them good luck. Quality of materials is great already ! and it hardly moves in the wind so solid standing ! Just got one yesterday for $340.00 (shipping $100) extra. Measured temperature with infrared temp.....was in the mid 40s down to even 37. This is 1,700 btu while the original Zero Breeze was only 1100 btu. This has 30 inches of space for air to come out of ( same as a 5000 btu window air cond) while the Zero Breeze is squeezing air thru only a 4x4 opening) I figured out how to exhaust the heat into my bedroom heat register using the two form insulation padding that came with it....The unit will sit on tip of the one that has a slit in it.. where a small drain hose will go down into a plastic box from the dollar store to collect the water while the exhaust hose will be connected into a hole cut into the smaller padding to fit it exactly, then the box will cover over the bedroom heat register completely, thus eliminating the need to vent thru the window using a $30 plastic vent kit made for portable a/c units.
