Welcome to my channel! Here, I'll talk about my two biggest passions in life, guitars and motorcycles! They go hand in hand right? I've been a musician since the late '70's starting with the drums and then picking up the guitar in the late '80's. I've played the drums in all kinds of bands and played the NJ club circuit starting in the late '80's and into the mid to late 90's. From here I transitioned into a new career in the motorcycle industry starting at Fast By Ferracci in 1998, the world's most famous and successful Ducati shop and race team at the time. I started riding in 1983 having owned all types of bikes over the years. Having been a sales/parts person for the better part of 20 years, I'm a gear-head to say the least weather it's motorcycle or guitar related. I hope you enjoy my opinions and takes on stuff, I have plenty!
No controversy here. I have played a couple and they were great. Only reason I don't own one is I have 2 amazing LPs already. But I really love this model...
Please level the audio out a bit. The guitar is way too loud compared to your talking. (I know blasphemy haha) But this is a youtube video we watch at home, it's not a concert :)
I saw that same deal and really wanted to like it, but this particular one had a terrible fingerboard. The edge of the treble side toward the top of the neck looked like not a single tool touched it. It was literally just rough, uncut wood, like it was juuust wide enough to make one more fingerboard. Never seen that anywhere before.
I almost grabbed one of these, too, but I had already picked up a Tradition Pro V a few weeks before. My first Gibson was a "The Paul II", which is pretty much the same guitar, with some slight differences. I think I paid $799 for it in 1999, so it being $799 in todays money is a great deal.
I snagged one of these a guitar center a week ago in Inverness green for $739 new. Pickups sound great and for that price it was worth picking up for the collection. I’m more into flame and quilting on my Les Paul’s but for the price I could always resell it in the future. And your right an American Gibson for what a Epiphone costs, it had to go home with me
Outstanding band From New York that I have followed since the 90s. Why they are not mainstream is beyond me check them out if you like good with a political vibe.
I’m using D’Addario NYXL 11-49, tuned to Drop C#. Singnal chain is basically the guitar loaded with Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz set into an Ernie Ball VIP Volume/Tuner pedal: Fortin HexDrive: MXR Smartgate into the Marshall Silver Jubilee. Keeley Caverns in the effects loop. I usually include tuning and signal chain in the description.
I really like this cover, because I can really tell what you are playing. I've been working out an acoustic Verizon of this song, but it hasn't been easy for me. This song was written to be played on an electric. So, it's a fun challenges. The verse is doable with Em, D6/9, and G, but seeing you play some of the verse parts made me realize you could probably do that with barr chords. I have a nice electric, but acoustic is my passion.
