Too bad. Mine is nice after 2 years. Owning a Jaguar is always a challenge. Was weird having to do thermostat twice in 2 years. Both were OEM Jaguar thermostats! My mechanic is a miracle worker. He hasn’t been needed yet but I keep in reserve 😊
I have one and the stigma that comes with this car is Awful. Either your a fool with money or no mechanic will touch them . I have mech skills but you are dependant on the software and dealer to Ransom this cars functionability. Silly all the way around owning it. Why Im dumping it.
Cor manufacturers have abandoned the 55+ sedan buyer and shifted making cars to be more sporty because of something a teenager wrote on a blog. That is the gist of it. A large sedan is supposed to be about comfort and isolation from the road. It is not supposed to go fast on a track. Ford killed the panther platform and effectively gave up on large sedans made for a comfortable ride. Toyota sells very few LS500s. The LS model will probably not be around too much longer.
Exactly. I have a friend who is 6’3” who immediately knew what I was talking about. The saddest part is on the LS500 you can flatten the seat bolsters but only partially.
I agree with you… I have a 2007 Lexus LS460L it sort of has bolstering but new cars it’s been taken to the next level. I got in an ES350 one day for a loan car and it’s ok but the seat cushion is too short to really provide enough support for longer legs and the bolstering gets uncomfortable after a while even the back bolstering is too much.
I have 4. You are correct. Mercedes demand expensive repairs and maintenance. The Lexus is an amazing car. Every time I start any German car I cringe knowing even if drove well the day before doesn’t mean it will run the next day.
I have been told that Amsoil sells an equivalent that meets all the GM specifications. Many racers prefer the Amsoil as it runs cooler. Hope this helps
I work for a utility. Unfortunately, there are a lot of local and state government permitting requirements that require the use of flaggers, whether the work is actually occurring that day or not. It is such a waste.
LS 430 2006 I’ve leakage do you advise me to replace filter, gasket and replace whatever lost oil once Then every time i remove the bolt then i drain and replace what i lost with new oil till i find out the oil color looks better, The problem is i don’t have a tool to check the oil temperature Do you advise to switch on the car till it goes to the normal temperature then shift to all gears then remove the bolt to drain extra oil And keep it cold then drain then refill Or i’ve to drive it for sometime then drain and repeat Please help
Couple things that you can do to cap over treated. What I prefer to do and cost effective is use lattice strips to create a distance between the aluminum and the treated lumber. Most coil boxes will label not to cover treated lumber. I've been doing siding for over 30+ years and I've never had a issue with using this method
Great video. What torque did you use for the filter bolts? I've also heard they need to be replaced but I got everything here except new bolts. Also I noticed, 2020+ models use a different transmission filter. For my 19 ZL1 I got the GM24291343.
