Duuude the audience was scared to even clap. Thats how much fear she still strikes into people to this day. Even when she is flirting or pretending to, she is terrifying.
I am currently rewatching Avatar with my girlfriend. We're in our 30's now. I was so giddy when season two starts and Azula is introduced properly. Her arrival marks the ascension of the series.
Azula is legit one of the best villains I've seen. You can understand exactly why she became who she is and why she does the the things she does, and while you can feel sympathy for her, she's still very clearly the villain. As Zuko's foil, you see how much he changed and grew and worked to better himself while Azula got trapped in her trauma and perpetuated the cycle of abuse and cruelty.
Azula: I'm the most evil Nickelodeon female character! Vicky: Are you challenging me? Angelica Pickles: Don't force me to come down and beat you bitches!
^Me trying to figure out how the views on this have more than tripled since the beginning of the year: Where are y'all coming from??? How are you finding this??
@@kayla-ex5dz the actual continuation is the comic The Promise that is about Zuko fucking up as Fire Lord which was expected since he's a kid with no guidance or experience and is also pro-colonism but fixing it with the Gaang's help and then Azula shows up in the next comic The Search where Zuko decided to find out what happened to Ursa and asks for Azula's help and there's drama and Azula is abused by the gaang for being mentally ill and having episodes. After that it's North and South that is Sokka and Katara going back to the water tribe only to find out it's changing and developing now that they have the means since there's no war and Katara is being a bitch about it bc it doesn't feel like the idea of water tribe she had. After that it's Smoke and Shadow where Azula is back and turned into a Scooby Doo kind of villain that captures the hero (Zuko) only to tell him the whole plan and then fucking leave. And there will be an Azula centric comic soon, it's being made as we speak, it's probably going to be redemption or learning more about her past and how she became what she is or both. Basically, there is a continuation but the characters are all fucked up and reduced to annoying idiots. I don't recommend
