Welcome to Minerva: an all new, practical and solid kitchen worksurface material manufactured using state-of-the-art technology to deliver a luxurious appearance, cool pleasing touch and robust performance day in, day out.
This stuff is amazing they use it on super yachts because of its durablity and ease of use. Generally speaking people who complain about it haven't read the instructions properly.
Do not purchase this worktop. I had the sparkling white installed recently. From day one it marks. It's covered in scratches and looks awful. Over priced and seriously regretting it.
looks lovely but worst worktop Ive ever had, scratches so easily, put anything hot on it and it marks, I would strongly advise not to go for this product!!!
I’ve read really bad reviews from dissatisfied customers on line! I think you need to educate your distributors in the pros and cons of Minerva when selling it to the general public. It would avoid most of the negative feedback!
absolute pile of shit! installed this worktops in my mums house had nothing but problems it scratches easy and chips easy and isn't heat resistant. the worktop split opposite to the mitre when my mum had her slow cooker on it. they told me it wasnt supported properly there customer service is dog shit tried telling me we hadn't supported it properly before they even looked at it. and there supposed to be bars across kitchen units to fit but they dont supply it with the worktops and no mention of it in the manual. stay clear of these robbing bastards! oh and if the lady that answers the phone at your head office reads this go suck a fat 1 u horrible cunt!
Whatever you do stay away from this type of worktop,it requires cleaning all the time and shows every scratch .When you try to polish it it just comes out in patches and looks bloody awful,in the showroom the small piece that is on display is shines and nice but unfortunately it doesn't stay that way.I would certainly not recommend this worktop to my worst enemy, you have been warned
Had Minerva surfaces for a year now expensive rubbish. Full of scratches and needs constant attention. Can’t put a tea cup down on the pale colour as it stains. Really dull finish. Avoid
Is the corner cuts male and female, I can’t see it these being cut this way. Can this product be cut straight and fit to the other one in the corner ratcheted than male and female cut. Is there a need to use for biscuits jointer for levelling? Is there a need to use dogbone cuts under to support the joints?
What a pile of crap! Shall be checking with Trading Standards as to their definition of "Seamless" - Experienced fitted of over 20 years - There is no way this could ever be seamless!
Just fitted this product to my kitchen had trouble finding trades person to fit. Decided to fit myself Amazing product easy to cut and fit and yes go ahead contact trading standards I would support Minerva yes it is seamless do not knock a product until you have worked with it !
@@clarenewman9206 I agree with you, it's a terrible product. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON IT! Shows every scratch and mark. Shouldn't even be on the market its so bad.
i have just had the cocoa brown installed and the up keep is a NIGHTMARE! first of all the very tiny block we were shown in the showroom had a glossy finish to it then when it was installed it was flat almost a whitish finish .I was told it will get a patina over time , but i want the finish i thought i was getting instantly .Also the patina will only be in the high use area. Every scratch shows and when you follow cleaning instructions it leaves a very obvious patch that has been cleaned to remove the scratch. to make the new area that has been cleaned , not to look obvious all of the worktop and wrap sides has to be cleaned in the same way so it all has the same finish. a lot of money was spent on the kitchen and i have not got the work top i thought i was getting i am so stressed and upset with this
@@bluenapalm123 oh my god you're so right. This product should be sold with a warning! Its so bad. It scratches like mad. DO NOT BUY IT. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.

When you complain, they're happy to tell you it won an award. Who gives a shit about that when the product is so bad. Everyone thought the Titanic was great until it sank.
I`ve recently fitted the Ice Crystal worktops, here are a few tips that might help you that aren`t shown in the videos. The joint must meet exactly before gluing, the adhesive is not an exact colour match to the worktop so even slight gaps will show. The video suggests you have 8 to 10 minutes open time with the adhesive, I found it is more like 2 to 5 minutes when the ambient temperature is between 15 & 20 degrees, the adhesive needs to be as thin as possible to achieve a tight joint, it needs to be chilled in a fridge prior to use, if you don`t do this particularly on a warm day the adhesive will start to cure before you have cut the packet open (this happened to me), if the adhesive does not run out of the packet don`t use it, it needs to be about as thick as double cream! If you don`t have power tools with extraction cut everything outside, the dust (more like snow flakes when routing) smells quite toxic (I`m not sure that it is) and there is a lot of it. Although the staff at Sylmar were helpful (additional sachets of adhesive supplied quickly and free of charge) they did not suggest chilling the adhesive and were not that clued up on the fitting of these tops, I was helped by a more experienced fitter called Rob Bragg and Simon the rep at LLandaff Laminates who distribute the tops, with their advice I was able to achieve seamless joints, thanks again.
