The way I felt about this drama was that Shao Shang was only good to LBY when things were perfect...as in little moments like this. As soon as a problem came up, she was just mean and showed zero understanding for him. Didn't like their relationship the rest of the drama after EP27. She was so cruel to him. If she hated him so much, she should have just never accepted his proposal. The true test of a good couple isn't what they're like when things are going well. It's what they're like when things go _wrong,_ and they were just not an inspiring or positive couple. The love was so one-sided, it was super frustrating. Girl didn't really even view LBY as a good man until the last two minutes of the drama, had no faith in him, and continuously threw water all over his plans without a care for any consequences of harming him. He protected her at all cost and loved her so much that he wanted her to live on, even if it meant him dying...and she punished him by cutting ties with him for 5 years? She's out of her mind if she thinks proper love means dragging all your loved ones down with you when you know you're about to die. Then, at the very end, after wasting 5 years of their relationship, she was, like, "if I was dying, I would want you to live on." Oh, really now? 🙄
Love is The Best - This is a heart-grabbing story of a contemporary sadomasochistic love that takes place in Yulin, Shanxi province of China. The female lead is an extremely good-natured woman who falls in love with the returning investor male lead from abroad. His personality can be described as being stubborn, overly sensitive, suspicious, and worrisome. During his school days, he had a regrettable encounter with the female lead’s older sister. He mistakenly believes that the female lead approached him because of his affluent background, and thus mistreats her. The female lead's pure and innocent love eventually wins over his heart and her sister, as well, begins to walk towards a better path....credits to mydramalist
those two having a lil romantic moment like "I didnt know the great Ling Buyi had fears" and him going "When it comes to you i do 🥺" while the rest of the Yuan clan is there like "...are we interrupting?" 🤣🤣😭🤣😭🤣
I love the emperor so much. The book is translated into English by Lady Kelpi Translations on wordpress and the book is even better than the show (if you can believe it).
I wonder if this episode was the reason (or one of the reasons) why he wanted for Cheng family members be prepared and trained after their engagement 🤔🥰
This is the plight for many, many women all over the world. Often times, even if they are able to escape the violence, the abuser ends up killing them anyway regardless of what kind of "protection" is in place.
Ok…I’m 1hr 22mins in so I don’t know the ending but…what a breath of fresh air … More realistic than most short , modern C - Dramas. Born in 1958, I grew up in the UK with an Irish mother, who was a nurse and a well respected African father who was apparently never allowed (under the British regime) to reach his full potential. On the surface he was magnanimous and never failed to show his apparent worth in front of his friends and many female admirers. However, he was actually very abusive to his wife and occasionally to two of his 6 children, including myself who was the outspoken eldest daughter. Ok…there is still very much a self blaming history ( & stigma) for women (& occasionally men) regarding domestic abuse, particularly violent abuse. My late father, of Royal African decent(& I use the term father loosely, as he sired me, but was never really a caring dad to me, because I was a daughter and not a son) even pushed my mother down the stairs when she was 4 months pregnant with one of my siblings, because she was talking to another man at a New Year’s Eve party at our house. As the eldest, if punishment was dished out it would aways fall on my shoulders ( look, I’m not saying it was frequent… but always memorable … a belt, a wire coat hanger, a old fashioned TV Arial with 2 prongs… and all before I reached the age of 7 yrs) This obviously coloured my impression of men. It took me a long time to trust any man and after choosing a long term partner who started to portray similar traits to my father ( I finally had the courage to to make a total break from this man after 9+ years) after travelling around the world and changing careers, I finally found a man I wanted to be the father of my children…albeit in my 30‘s. We have been together for over 35 years and I don’t regret a day! There is hope for everyone…just believe in yourself…life isn’t perfect, but, if you can be happy with your partner more than 60% of the time… that’s a win in my opinion. Happy😊 ❤😊
He knew he had to resolve his familys deaths and Gu city before he married Niao Niao otherwise her family would bear the brunt of it afterwards.... Can't and won't blame him either way👺
