This is an interesting demo disc in the mainline UK series. Ever since like #54, most of them had five demos and five videos, which was making it seem monotonous at that point. This one changed it up with eight demos versus two videos, making it more inviting. As for the contents itself, this was really the last one to feature a healthy number of playable demos that had not yet been featured in the UK series. It has some good and decent demos on here, with the weakest demos being the ones that are either too short or on a time limit. It's one thing if the time limit is a part of the game itself. However, I never thought that timing players out of a demo was a good decision. I'd say the best demos on here are Bugs Bunny & Taz: Time Busters, Frogger 2, and Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness. They each feature just enough content to convince players to maybe buy them. They each control pretty well and are enjoyable to play. The biggest letdown for me about this demo disc was that Spyro 3 is not playable. It's not that it simply is not playable, though it easily would have been the best demo on here (personal bias aside). It's that it was playable on #65, two issues before this one. Making it a video after being playable was unnecessary here.
I have to say that I really am disappointed with this film. They took a score written for legit singers and handed it to a leading man who admitted his voice was weak, a leading lady who had to be dubbed, and reconceived the whole thing into a dance film.
It's always amused me that beautiful Jane is Fiona's doppleganger, even prettier, but she is not Fiona and that's the point. Tommy fell in love with a beautiful woman but the playboy also fell in love with a person. We gather from Jane's conversation that she's shallow, superficial and phoney. She greets another woman with apparent delight and, then, turns to Tommy to make some catty remark. The ultimate romance of the movie, besides true love, is what Tommy sacrifices to spend eternity or near eternity with his beloved. What's he going to do in Brigadoon-apprentice himself to the village Smithy? He doesn't care!
If Fiona and Tommy didn't end up together, people would have been furious. It would have been a slap in the face to those of us-like me-who believe "If you love somebody enough, anything can happen. Even miracles.
You remind me I got a Grover Sesame Street game from Shiploads some years ago as it came with a blue fuzzy Wii mote cover I thought would be collectible bargain.
I might know what you are talking about. I got Sesame Street Once Upon a Monster on kinect first a dollar when it came out and still is worth that haha.

It's funny the way everyone goes on about Tom Cruise hanging off the side of a building when Micheal Crawford was doing it on a TV show years earlier for humour.
Almost too good to watch, knowing it's really him and he's so endearing yet we know he could actually very easily die when filming these things.....and if you take into account the multiverse there must be loads where he did but we lived in the one where he didn't.....Quantum eigenstate we're in has some positives!
The idea of him risking so much for others' entertainment is his biggest strength. So much could have gone wrong, but he made it out OK and even sang through Phantom of the Opera. Many stages of incredible talent.
i recently read book 1 at school. my friends and i giggled SO HARD when we saw the nightmare fuel pictures-- i mean, the first page when the possessed ppl appeared.. look in the window and in the car. WTF- we loved the nightmares idk why--
Actually, I felt sorry for Jeff. The absolute horror of having shot someone by accident, and then the villagers use that to maintain their lives. It's chilling.
I felt really bad for Jeff. Especially around the end, when he is drinking at the bar. A moment that sticks with him. The whole chase coming to a sudden stop, with Jeff realising what he's done is shocking.
I actually remember the car hanging over the cliff episode from the original series but I only now recall all of the stunts Michael Crawford did to make the show such a success.
This is going to be an unpopular comment. Gene Kelly's roles in the movies were rarely likeable. In fact, he was often a cad. At least here his character felt love enough to go through a massive barrier.
Well I gotta say, Blast! is one of those game publishers who were flopped easily. Their game adaptation of anyone's beloved TV Shows, Movies, even Cartoons were just missing some points to any of them. so that would often mean that they're the worst game adaptations imaginable. They're like LJN 2.0 or Ocean 2.0.
Woah, Tombi! Another cool and weird early game memory, something which as I aged, I felt like my kid-brain must've dreamt up. I also loved it as a kid, but I thought the demo ended at the fog. What a revelation!
From Spyro in the background to your lively and humorous retrospectives, there's almost to much to appreciate here. I believe you could talk about dryer lint for an hour and make it uniquely entertaining. From one gamer to another... a "sports" salute to you sir. Btw, I'm not sure how often you do film reviews but I'd almost like to hear your thoughts on the 1986 film Frog Dreaming. It seems like something that'd be right up your alley.
My favourite bit of Crash Bandicoot 3 was when Nitro said "It's warpin' time." and warped everything. Seriously though, the Warped intro theme song is legit the best in the series.
