This is stellar. Glad I stumbled here to catch this performance. *the camera crew/director dropped the ball too many times... ffs did they even know that was Rick?
This band have no peers David gilmore and Richard Wright rule and have done for over fifty years when I accessed this with jools Holland I thought this audience don't realise what an incredible treat they are in for fabulous absolutely fabulous we are so very fortunate to have such talent loved it
The best version of this song I have come across, so far. Putting the bass more to the front (sound-/arrangement-wise) was a great move; and the guitar, however muted at the beginning, gets to draw wonderful emotional ornaments as the song proceeds. By the way, all the three band players score greatly here, in my point of view. Who I would like to smack with a goose, however, are the director and editor of the clip: quick, obsedant cuts that do not let the camera observe ANYONE on stage even for just a few seconds - plus if I see a single more close-up of Suzanne while the camera goes up, I will probably start to see in red... Spoiling such a great piece of art by messy, amateur-ish camera should be heavily penalized, really.
Poor direction here, totally missed Jon carin slide guitar & did anyone even notice Rick wright over there at the back? The camera went nowhere near him! 🤦♂️
C'è un canale YT che si chiama "il mezzofondiere", lo gestisce un ragazzo, grande appassionato ed intenditore di atletica. Anche lui ha fatto un video su questa impresa di Abebe Bikila. Prova a chiederglielo, ti auguro possa aiutarti.
Around the early nineties Zbigniuw Preisner composed music for the French movie trilogy "Trois Couleurs" listen to "Do not take another mans wife" from "Rouge" ("Red")... also hauntingly beautiful...
