I laughed at 24:38 when she moved a little towards kill as if she was actually considering not sparing him after spending 20 minutes and multiple deaths trying to spare him.
The Asgore fight is great, among else, because most players will have avoided fighting and then be forced to. Unwilling to fight but have no other option, which is exactly what Asgore himself feel! You as a player have the same emotions as Asgore. You become a reflection of your opponent, which is an extremely hard thing to set up. Toby really is a genius of writing.
They dont make clippers like you anymore man. I'm thankful that I'm able to go back to clips like these. Compared to now, Hololive seems so different from this time.
I really appreciate the translations, while I do respect those who perform more literal translations I feel that in some cases it’s better to go with something different that gets the point across.
The thing is for asgore is that the mercy button is for when the monster doesnt wanna fight you so asgore destroying because he knows that it will work on him he really doesnt want to fight you like at all but he must do what his people need at heart he isn't a bloodthirst warrior he's a gardener just trying his best
Oh wow okay I guess I found a new favorite. This broke my heart with how sweet she was with the flowers and her realizing that she can't run or show mercy.
The Snowdon amalgamate actually feels very depressing- when it tries to fight it barely even reaches the player. She's just a very sad monster and it feels very sad to see her
I like that Watame killed Flowey. It recontextualizes every time she spared a monster. She didn't do mostly a Pacifist route for the sake of it, rather she never wanted to kill. Flowey was too far gone though, and she wouldn't forgive him. If anything, this choice is a more powerful ending.
18:24 And in this moment, Watame got mad at the game itself. She knew what the game was asking her to do, and that first 'UWAAAH!' was the only way she could articulate 'Are you being serious right now?' Given the feelings she was going through, it can't be helped if her answer ultimately ended up being "You're the one person I can't forgive."
the only reason I did not kill Flowey there, I knew it would make him happy, at grinding teeth I spared him, and did say on each choice, ah please dont tempt me, its far too easy
