I have many different courses but the main one “ultimate shredder program” is divided into 10 sections. Each is about a technique that I use a lot in my playing. I explain how I do it and what I believe are The fundamentals of it. It comes with fun licks and a bunch of exercises. It’s mainly for intermediate players. I have more advanced courses on more specific topics too.
@@thomaspolychuck brill just seen the website. I’ve got an intermediate skill set with a focus on shredding in terms of technique… however, it’s musicality I lack in. Wondered if the jazz shred course would be good in developing that part?
@@thomaspolychuck perfect. I’ve got a load of theory all mixed in and nowhere to use it. Cheers my friend. I’ll check this out. Seen the pay levels. Once you buy one can you later upgrade by the way? Or do you need to just pick there and then which “tier” you want?
Wow! Well done. Nice groove with lots of energy. Sounds like I'm listening to Greg Howe. Great composition - very tight, complex and clean. Can't wait to see your play-through video. 😁
Sorry brother I’m a little bit confused. It looks like you’re using the same picking in both examples but honestly, it’s a little bit hard for me to see.
It’s the same picking, I add a note so the string changes happen with an upstroke rather than a downstroke making the exercise more challenging. It’s very subtle
I am 71. Guitar fan since 5! No idea but Awesome playing. I got to meet the Hellecasters a few times. Dream came true. Then Albert Lee many times. Saw Lenny Breau dozens of times at near empty clubs in Toronto. Thanks. Keep posting please.
@@thomaspolychuck Honestly I think that would be really cool content for your channel, maybe we should really consider this… 🧐 and to clarify I’m a huge fan, not an internet troll so thanks for even responding to this message and keep on rocking out and knocking out for the people!
@@AaronMargetta I appreciate your offer, man. I didn’t take it as trolling or anything but I’m super far, extremely busy, I’m a father of 3 and I live waaaaaay in the wild, up in Canada but thanks for supporting my channel🤘🤘🥊
hell yeah man! how do you avoid your hands locking up? that always seems to happen to me when i try speed picking. Also do you have any shapes that you recommend for learning to speed pick?
Ummmmmmm isn’t that just simple pattern movement? Especially with a simple short song, being able to move it and play it doesn’t help for improvisation. 🤷🏻♂️
I don't think it's simple pattern movement. However, if you learn the intervals between the notes and how those intervals lay out on the keyboard your improvisational skills will most likely improve.
If you take it at face value of "play happy birthday starting on any note at random," sure. It won't help with improvisation. But if you actually zoom out and look at what he's saying holistically? Yeah, it will.
The idea is to help you become able to recreate any melody that’s in your mind, anywhere on the fretboard in real-time. The happy bday song is just an example but it’s not what actually matters here.
