I remember listening to Fred Wiche's morning radio program in the 90s on the way to work. One hilarious episode that I still remember 30 years later was when someone asked about how much to cut when trimming tree limbs. Fred responded with something like, "If you're going to cut back tree limbs, the best place to cut is at ground level because anything else will totally ruin the shape of the tree." 😅 He was a great personality, and I'm sure he's still missed by everyone who knew him.
This was during the NABET strike, which may explain why Bryant has to pick up the mic instead of a technician. It’s also why the weather graphics look so lame… the technicians who normally created the maps were out.
Back when they announced when warnings were issued, instead of wall-to-wall coverage where they often FORGET to mention new warnings as they're issued.
I grew up in Richmond, Indiana. About 45 minutes west of Dayton. I first remember seeing this on my moms floor model TV in the 1980s. I still sing this often, and it's 2024,lol.
This was probably either after WLKY elected to carry _Think CBS Kids (E/I)_ as a whole on Saturdays from 9 AM-noon or Saturdays 10 AM-12 PM/Sundays 11 AM-12 PM.
