It’s Dinner Plain Alpine village after the Mt. Hotham alpine resort in Victoria. 15 minutes drive from the resort. Please keep in touch with my facebook page to see more snowy content facebook.com/haquediaries?mibextid=kFxxJD
When I lived there I used to take all my guests there. They go crazy watching this. I loved mt canobolas too 🫶 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J4xpcuVicWw.htmlsi=hXYChPCLWAlH3rUG

@@HaqueDiaries apparently there’s a underwater volcano releasing gas to vic making it hot so not enough snows coming in but maybe by the end of the snow season it should go away to America not sure
Its great to see you getting out and exploring so many places, like several of my clients from the subcontinent and Nepal; and like them you can do so much good in preparing others to make a safer trip than many beginners to the snow country currently do. They are too often last moment decisions , and without correct safety knowledge.
Please suggest ur clients we are from the subcontinent as well. It’s my partner’s job that requires so many travelling and recently we fall in love with 4wd driving and high country was the best option for it. Do look me up in facebook “Haque Diaries”
You are right I was there at the time and saw the best snowfall I have ever experienced. 👇🏽 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5LnSFdkGAiM.htmlsi=oojlIBr_ExS8owyi
This is seriously the most dangerous time and conditions to drive anywhere in the high country; but especially the Alpine beyond Tom Groggin. Not enough snow for chains to be effective, but enough to cause an icy surface, and no snow ploughs in that section. It does look pretty, but that comes with special precautions, and why it was inaccessible to most for a very long time.
I completely agree this road is nothing but a death trap. We been there couple of times so we were aware of the steepness but not the blizzard situation. Also we did use snow chain in our awd otherwise it was impossible but with our 4wd it was okay still i think this road is not for beginners. This year we are planning to do the great alpine road victoria during snow. Finger crossed 🤞
@@HaqueDiaries if you thought the Alpine way was tough; make sure you are wide awake and feeling fresh before commencing the Hotham to Bright section after blizzard. Have a safe an enjoyable time
you have an interesting travel timetable; zipping all over the world. But this village is truly special right now, meaning before global warming means that it will receive even less snow than now for cross country skiing and dog sledding.
We drove to falls creek ski resort but didn’t entered cause we didn’t have pass 😂 but falls creek will be in my bucket list. Have a look 👉🏾 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M-EsBtHsndM.htmlsi=DfAcPvvTaC88UacE
@@HaqueDiaries I love it I would rather go to another country to see the trees but this is the closest you will get in Australia. I just like places having trees and plants that are native that’s all
Same here but out of all the places I've been, Victorian High Country I find the most beautiful although there are no beaches but the hills are enough for me 😁
July is the best time to visit and always check the weather during this time because if the weather forecast shows snow it means it will snow for sure that day.
@@HaqueDiaries ah beautiful mate. 😊I'm in Brisbane and I needed my jumper this morning. There is something very beautiful about the Victorian high country blanketed in snow.
My first job was on the cooling station for the dam power station in September 1980. My Father helped build the road from Mitta to Dartmouth and the Dartmouth drinking water reservoir, my brothers helped build the spillway and the wall. Good years.
Great video Just a query Your Ute is part time 4wd like my ford ranger It’s only to be used in 4wd on gravel and sand So did the driver put the car in 4wd high driving on the sealed road that had some snow if you didn’t have chains
We did not use wheel chains with our ute. My partner normally drove it but during blizzards I recommend carrying a chains because on the same road, same conditions we lose control in awd and are forced to use wheel chains.
