Milena I love your videos and your advice 🫶🏼 I’ve been struggling so much with keeping my house, family and work life organized, It seems like no matter how many times we set a schedule or plan we end up at the same place. And I tend to feel as if I’m failing since I only have two children and cant seem to handle it.
I was adopted after being born a day old so I’m not sure quite sure what things have been passed down to me; but also I used to live in fear of doing whatever sin that my birth mother did or I used to live in fear of having whatever happened to her happen to me. Please pray for healing evwn though I can’t even articulate it.
Oh I can completely acknowledge that good things can become idols. Especially having kids, finding a husband, taking care of a home, etc. so many women make having kids their entire life and stop putting God first. It’s mind blowing once your eyes are open to this reality. These are good things but don’t out them before Christ!

Ive been watching you for years but two weeks or three weeks ago it was placed on my heart to dress modestly without knowing what modest dressing was at that point and then a week later i was told to start veiling or headcovering my hair. And i have felt so different and three weeks ago i called to grow ckoser and stregthen my relationship with God and Jesus. You can also check local food banks that have clothing giveaways as well for free clothes.

Last year I finally took out all of my piercings except for my main ones, the ones I’ve had since I was a baby. I really felt the Lord just asking me why I needed to be so heavily adorned with jewelry, and seriously I’ve felt so much more beautiful and simple without all my extra piercings. Obviously this isn’t a conviction for everyone but specifically something I felt and it just reminded me of this video and living out a more simplified life.
I think this can become a problem, but its also us living out our ministry. So even if im not thinking about God more than my kids/husband, or ~feel~ the same love for Him, thats not necessarily a sin. Again it can be for some people depending on their heart posture, but ive realised for myself, satan has loved to defile the love i have, and i no longer feel ashaamed for the great love i have for my family. I think the pivoting point here is where your heart lies. Are you viewing who and what you have through "Im thankful God has given me the life i prayed for". Then doing the dishes and keeping a clean home is no longer an idol becasue i am doing it unto the lord and its another form of worship. I think your message can go a long way for some people, but theres the other side, like me, who is prone to religion. I will go so far as to calculate how much time ive watched tv or worked out and compare them to my intentional time with God. And then force myself to read Gods word for 2 hours instead of 30 minutes the next day.. Its a hard balance to find between it all, and everyone is going to be a little bit different :) some people are prone to laziness where as others are prone to hustle culture. So slow living to a lazy person isnt necessarily a beneficial life style, where as its an amazing thing to implement if you are prone to over working to the detriment of your faith and family. Idk just a few thoughts :) this idol discussion has been something God has been helping me through since i had kids.
True, there are people that I know that don’t know what to do with their lives after the kids leave their home. We have to be happy and fulfilled because of God and not because of our things or people in our lives. And I have a baby daughter so I know how consuming can be sometimes.

With my third I did not prioritize post partum whatsoever and it’s my biggest regret. I had a birth center birth and was home within 6 hours of having her and by noon I was up doing laundry since my kids were with family and I felt like I had a chance of productivity rather than just spending all with baby

I truly appreciate you talking about your struggles as well and what the Lord has helped you through sometimes it’s easy to think that we are the only ones struggling but I appreciate you humbling yourself and sharing with us not only your struggles but how the Lord has convicted and helped you through it 🙏
