The Boiler Breakdown is a weekly podcast hosted by lifelong Purdue fans, Tanner Lee, Evan Webb and Andrew Eiler. They breakdown anything and everything related Purdue Football and Men's Basketball. Boiler Up!
I have no clue what to expect from this team. This will be the condition for each college team for the foreseeable future. Fans have no reference from the previous season. Teams are completely reconstitiuted. Familiar players exit and new unknown ones come onboard. "Wait and see" is exactly what I plan to do!
Listening to people complain that he should be called for 3 seconds have no clue what the rules in the NCAA are. As long as he has one foot out of the lane and lifts his other foot, the clock resets!
I don’t think it was painter hiding Heide and Colvin as much as it was saving their psyche from bad performances until they were more ready to play. Now they are building confidence because they understand the system
Hello Purdue Basketball nutcases! I made a little tribute video for my beloved team called "Loyer, Smith and Edey"! It's a parody of Warren Zevon's "Lawyers, Guns and Money". Hope you like! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FnTp5wI5cDA.htmlsi=WLa3Mr3vYxnVopGQ

I'd like to see limited minutes for the starters against Wisconsin. I'd also like to see Furst get a lot of run to try and get him right and see Heide as a small ball 4 to get some film to work off of in case Purdue sees a small lineup in the tourney.
Nebraska fan here. Don't be too hard ton the Purdue offense. The Nebraska Defense is legit AND Memorial stadium in the fall is one of the hardest stadiums to throw in the entire country. The wind is unreal, swirles and is difficult to read. Passing teams don't do well there late fall. The wind in the plains is no joke. Good luck rest of the year.
We are fearfully close to the old reality at both Purdue and IU when Football Season is "that awful time between the beginning of school and BASKETABALL SEASON"! When these eras occur, the ONLY measure of "success" for either program is winning The Bucket.
Dude you had one coach that retired and that’s Joe Tiller . Jeff Brohm left. Jim Colleto got fired because he was absolutely terrible. Joe Tiller was decent. Danny Hope , Darrell Hazell total disasters . Purdue has always been the toilet of the Big Ten. Look up Purdue’s historical record. Purdue is and will always be a joke of a football program.
I attended the Syracuse game in person. In the Brohm era, Purdue has consistently suffered from lack of game situation awareness and mental discipline. This is true of both players and coaches. These two problems are entirely the responsibility of the Head Coach. In my opinion this is Brohm's only failure, but it is a BIG one.
In regards to Evan’s comment on Painter never changing: he doesn’t change defensively. Offensively yes, but defensively he is stubborn as hell on man to man D (which is a mind boggling when you recruit massive slow bigs). I’ve been watching since Painter took over and we always lose in March to smaller teams b/c we don’t adjust defensively.
9-3 or 8-4! Purdue will have a 1,000 yard rusher, plumber throws for over 3,000 yards. And the defense will keep teams under 20 points a game with high turnover percentage. Boiler Up!!
Indiana is the most overrated team in America. The cards just happened to fall right for the last two years especially in the COVID year and not to mention they didn’t win either of their bowl games.
Love watching Williams. Hr doesn't give me NBA vibes but rather the "old man at the YMCA" and I say that with the utmost respect. He is just so efficient and unselfish.
so here’s my too senses. we should of never fired danny hope. the dude would of got us AT LEAST one 8 win season. i just saw another terrible jeff brohm game. i believe there was some off feild issues with hope bc there is no explanation that. i mean we keep letting these guys go after 4 years and it’s stupid. hope had his teams more prepared than brohm had. again i just think that we should of kept danny and i think we would of been a top 30 program but the fans wanted hazell so i think we struck out there.
