Yep, mountain explosions, worker shortages, supply chain issues, COVID, Quebec's terrible construction industry, and many other factors all combine.......I'll take the delay if it means a safe and efficient system though
I would agree if it were any other mall, but I am glad to see the a massive gap in Montreal's luxury market filled. Plus, I'm expecting residential and office space in the next few years, as well as an aquarium, so it serves many purposes and is less susceptible to dying. I'm more worried about sucking shoppers out of Downtown than anything
I thank the LEBANESE Andrew Lutfi for building such luxury for us in Montreal and several others, he reminds me of the luxury malls of Beirut and Dubai, I love how the natural light penetrates throughout the whole mall, I hope that a FERRAGAMO store will open there its my favorite luxury brand 👌🏻 its also near ville saint Laurent

A large surface parking lot between the housing developments and the station seems to be the key to a successful TOD neighborhood that encourages people to walk to the station ;-)
Yeah, definitely not ideal, but the whole neighborhood is within a 15 minute walk of the station and I believe there are some planned residential projects on land currently held by companies adjacent to the parking lot.....
@@themontrealguy471 the surface parking lots on prime real estate around TOD stations seems to be a REM thing... Given the real estate branch of CDPQ, I would have assumed that they'd develop it (and move the parking either underground or to designated park and ride stations outside the TODs)
Man! I like the idea of rem going to laval but damn its only touching the richest neighborhood all the way west. Like bring it to carrefour laval, they already have an alocated space right in front. Either that or lenghten the actual orange line to there and past.😅😅
Considering Sainte-Dorothee already had a bus terminal connecting routes to the whole west half of Laval and the dire need for a metro-like service in the Deux-Montagnes, Saint-Eustache area, I think they made the right decision. A place like central Laval deserves the actual Metro as condos go up everywhere and the connection would be much easier. Carrefour Laval already has a nice terminus to serve as a Metro station so get on with it already!
privateers ever the thorniest cleptoparasites .. on their promo tour that'd halted within the bright Windsor station concourse years ago, I laughed right into their faces - at least a ½ dozen representatives' worth - about their b.s. 2021 inauguration date .. ever the stalest strain of corporateering privateers pedaling poxy robo shuttles while trying to flashily & CHEAPLY emulate Expo-Expressiveness
The bridge linking Ile-Bigras to Pierrefonds is newly constructed (the old rail bridge remains untouched) but the bridge linking Laval to Deux Montagnes has been retrofitted from the old bridge.
I wish I could get inside lol....the video was posted by Carbonleo on Vimeo. The link is in the description for all the other Royalmount progress montages by them
Bonjour, je travaille avec l'une des entreprises qui construisent le REM (dans le cadre du partenariat NouvLR). Pourrions-nous utiliser cette vidéo sur nos réseaux sociaux ?
