Seeing the views on this is depressing. I wouldn't say I'm the biggest H1-KEY fan, but I love them enough to follow them casually. They definitely deserve more then 360 views after 12 hours... The song is incredible and I'm fully obsessed! Like you said, it's almost hypnotic in a way and I love that it's a longer song too, it just feels perfect! The "Solar System" part of the chorus has definitely been stuck in my head since I heard it, it's so catchy. Also, that Wendy part in the bridge is absolutely breathtaking and gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it! Needless to say, the song is easily a favorite of the year so far for me, I'm blown away by it.

Agreed! A nearly 4 minute song is such a 2024 blessing 🙌! Red Velvet is one of those groups that delivers their "beautifully unsettling" signature with such grace, elegance, and heavenly vocals. Love the Midsommer theme cause that movie was wild. I've watched some creepy stuff in my time, but that movie was up there in the wild and creepy categories. That chorus melody is just everything to me. If i were to describe what you were talking about after the first watch it's 'hauntingly beautiful' where it's almost so pretty it's unsettling. It's that 'siren' vibe where the melody is so beautful but they're going to drown you in the ocean lol.

I agree with there being a difference between being provocative and the sexy concept. In my opinion the difference is that being provocative necessarily pushes boundaries insofar as people automatically will have a bigger reaction to it. The sexy concept in itself normally caters to what people are already expecting within the concept. Mix in the provocative and it becomes clear what restrictions still exist in what is deemed normal. It being provocative for female idols being confident about their bodies and their desires (especially in a way not seen before) just shows that this is not part of the sexy concept in Kpop usually.
