Darius Lim (Dr.) is a Singaporean Conductor-Composer renowned for his visionary approach to choral music. As the Founder and Artistic Director of the Voices of Singapore, he orchestrates nationwide concerts and festivals while leading a vibrant choral community through the VOS Choral Society of 30 choirs and over 1200 singers. This song brought about my single event that happened during any rehearsal. My entire bass section had a voice crack at the exact same time. It wasn’t even a particularly high note or anything, the stars just happened to align
I remember we were going to do this song in high school but Covid hit and we couldn’t do it I was so mad cause I had the soprano 1 part and there was only two of use doing that part so I felt like I was special 😂
We sang this song for all state in the nick of time before COVID shut down and the composer got to direct it for us. Love this song.... Looking back now as I'm currently reading the book of Jeremiah lol
My school choir preformed this last night. I sang Alto while getting over the flu along with half of our choir, we some how managed to get through our whole set. But this was probably the hardest song to sing sick. And trust me I’ve had to sing my fair share of songs sick.
Man altos around me would PRAY for a Little Cold because as long as you were only minorly effected you would get a really rich, chesty texture to your alto part. Kids are dumb :)
The chorus i’m in and I are going to perform this, i think it’s such a beautiful and inspiring song! And it was great to see Darius Lim in real life, I’m really grateful for the experience i had
I may not be religious, but damn if some of this music isn't the best stuff I've ever heard. The first time I heard this piece was from our highschool choir back in April and it literally gave me chills. Fantastic.
The sopranos scary as hell in this song. And the altos asses coming in like “omni spiritus 🦹♀️”.. and dont forget the basses La la la la la la la 🥸. Not the fault of this choir this song is just goofy in general
