Thank you very much for your video ! I am French, and I watch Yakara videos also, they are great (and I don't even speak Spanish...) But it was high time someone did a video in English, and yours is fun and very clear ! So thanks again, and keep'em comin' !
Merci! 🇫🇷 Yakara is so cool to me because his content and his personality transcend language barriers. I'm very flattered to hear my video has done the same for you. 😄
@LemSportsinterviews Honestly getting them from Aliexpress vs Amazon will save you a good chunk. I haven't had any issues with emus from there personally. Plus when you look at how expensive a lot of physical Dreamcast games are these days, it's not so bad.
What a great video! I've been planning to do this same mod, but I was holding off hoping for an easier to follow tutorial than Mundo Yakara's. Subscribed!
When I did this same mod for the Super Famicom, I used flush cutters and a solder sucker to remove the pins from the ESP32. Having holes instead of pins made soldering the wires a bit cleaner, but it also let the board sit flush and mount with double sided foam tape without worrying as much about shorts.
I will have to crack my XBoxes open and take a look. I have heard if the clock capacitor is a gold one, don't take it out. That is a high quality capacitor. You mainly worry about the black ones.
@krathoon2338 This is true, those are from a later revision model (version 1.6) with a better capacitor. However, some people are now suggesting replacing those (I believe that model requires the capacitor for the console to function so you can't just remove it and go), simply because all models of original Xbox are pushing 20+ years. But they're much less likely to malfunction than all prior models with black caps
