Just subscribed...I'm Doris, from Houston...I do abstracts, mixed media and geodes with acrylics....but I have ALWAYS wanted to be THAT GIRL...that can look at a person, or get a picture of someone's fur baby and paint it, on canvas, with acrylics... I have a feeling that I will be signing up for your course, girlfriend...I love your vibe and your spirit 💖 I have a few YT Videos showing beginners some techniques, but I want to get better at my passion❤
The portrait was ok, but it wasn't a tutorial. It's like trying to teach someone how to drive by putting them in a car and just driving. A tutorial is ment to teach, and there was no teaching in the video.

I love Robert's work. Wonderful execution. We see these ephemeral, unsmiling forms reaching out to us from a misty dreamscape. Imagine someone viewing these ghost like remnants in another hundred years.
What a privilege to be looking over the shoulder of a great portrait artist while he works. Thank you Kara for making this available. Charcoal is an intimidating medium for me, but this gives me a little more confidence. I'm also confident Monsieur Vuillard would be pleased with this wonderful portrait.

Amazing!!! I don't have erasers for fine details, but I am practicing with graphite and charcoal... it's so beautiful and challenging at the same time. I hope one day I can be like you 😍😍
lack of underlying structure. despite effort in copying light and dark the portrait still looks somewhat flat. also the eyes and nose seems to be somewhat off proportionally.
Not sure why anyone would give boos to this, you’re doing it, it’s your method and at the end of the day more people are thankful for what you put out there than the non important ones who dislike it - keep going forward strong
