i assume you checked the EQ? also does it have a sub, make sure if it does not it does not have that enabled or it will cut off lower frequencies to the main speakers and send to the output for the sub. but yeah it could also be your speakers, my speakers sound pretty good considering I don't have a sub
With another word... this radio is old design, which belongs to the museum! I have one in mint condition and never use it, because of the tremendous noise, obnoxious menu and unfit controls! Hate it!
@@Thejohnnyoshow well... It doesn't matter if it is Chinese, or new model like 891, which in my mind is even worse peace of cr@p... 817 is morally outdated, controls are very hard to use, and so on, and so on... Avoid it!
@@Thejohnnyoshow I am now using G90, and RS-918 with the yellow buttons, and it is great little qrp radio! Tons of functions, price is acceptable and it is clone of the mcHF project! Check it if you want!
I'm a hardware engineer/hacker (some overlap between hams and us) and just got this desk from Thomann ( €295 plus 2 6u racks and a few slideouts for hardware projects). Few things I wish they did on this desk. First, use real rack strips that use cage nuts. I mean, what they did was *ok* but if they had gone with real rack strips, it would have knocked it out of the park. I know I'm going to loose these screws, I KNOW IT! Also, the top part is a bit fiddly to put together. That said, be warned. Unless you lift weights or something, the packages they come in are HEAVY. This took me and a friend a few hours to put together. The pros: Literally everything else. Your review was what sold me on this desk and I could NOT be happier. I've spent 2 bloody years looking for a good hardware engineering desk and this was it.
I did notice that with the screws also, i miss placed the ones that came with the desk so ordered more on amazon thinking they would be some standard, and found out they are not. fortunately i found the rack screws that came with it, but i agree that part could have been better. that desk is sure solid though.
No Deming New Mexico has mountains called the Florida (a spanish word meaning "flowery" or "covered with flowers." not just a state in the US) Mountains
Can you pleas help me somehow? 🙏 I start to screw the screws (about 8mm from the table leg's egde) (screw size: 3,5 x 12) and the leg started to crack. It's the main leg, not the supportive one. Is there any way I can do it? Or maybe it is possible to glue the wheel to the table?
I did not have to pre drill, but maybe they changed the size of the screwed with the wheels since i put mine on, in which case pre drill with a slightly smaller bit before putting in the screw
I do feel like 12mm is a lot longer than the screws that came with the wheels when i bought them you will need to pre drill for that. my screws were only about 8mm
im trying to connect the controller to my pc and use it for my guitar. my uncle did it and I got this pedal from my uncle and had used it while at his house so I know it works. one issue, I cant get it to work.
If you do not hear a knocking engine, this knock sensor has caused many sad days of codes. I have a new engine and new A/Z sensors lasted 2-weeks and now codes again.
Ngl I’m kinda scared to ride this after the raging river accident it’s technically almost the same but less control you just go down the slide at any moment it could flip over just like the raging river since it’s just going down a slide with no tracks or nothing
All LQ4 engines from that era lacked improved baffling in the valve covers until around 2005. This issue likely affected older LQ9 engines as well, regardless of engine size. Initially, GM attempted to resolve the problem by modifying the PCV, but later, they addressed it more effectively by redesigning the valve covers.
Which part? The shower miser? The shower miser allows you to run the hot water back into the fresh water tank; that's the water coming from your hot water heater. Therefore, if you're winter camping and using the tank instead of the city water hookup (which you should be, as the hose will just freeze outside), it will take hot water from your hot water heater and pump it into the fresh tank. Then, cold fresh water will go into the hot water heater. It's not what it's intended for, but if you put it on a trickle, that's what it will do. Then, in effect, you have a fresh tank water heater to keep that tank and your lines from freezing.
That was helpful. I wasnt sure what I was looking for either. I took off the big bottom hose 😂 I am very much prone to breaking plastic. But if it's gonna need to be replaced....better to do so at home am I right?
I understand that this event was many years ago and hope that you guys are fully recovered and all are well. I’m a bit confused as to why you made the decision to film from window to window when clearly it was not safe to do so, endangering your safety? All types of warnings and sirens indicated a dangerous weather event was about to occur.
Ignorance is bliss, I guess. I understand your concern, and looking back, I realize it might not have been the best decision. At the time, I never really felt in danger until we heard things hitting the roof while I was in the garage. In my mind, it was just strong wind, and the storm watchers were not reporting tornado sightings in our direct area. I had never been in a storm like that before, so I was amazed by the spectacle of it, which clouded my better judgment. Unlike my daughter, who smartly stayed in our basement the whole time and wasn’t seen anywhere in the video. Thank you for your comment.
Here after the EF4-5 tornado just had a direct hit in Greenfield and I must say, the damage is catastrophic. Winds of 200-205MPH making this capable of being a EF5 but most likely EF4. However, we have to wait and see for the damage.
May 16 2024 , Hello , when you relocated the knock sensors, did you put them between the 4 piston , on both side ? When you relocated them, how did it work ? How long did you leave them in the relocated spot and how long did it work for ? Did it light up engine light and did the vehicles have any other problems ? Did it run fine ? As for the ECM , I have talked to a company in NY that Refurbish and programs , any ECM computers . They explained that there are different program all ready written each specific ECM . That you can not just make adjust , none less you have a certain computer and program to do this . If you had it done , who and how was it done to make adjustment or rewrite the program ( software ) ?
I only replaced the one that was bad, sensor 2, i put it between the piston #6 and #8 (driver side), i never changed anything with the ecm, i have found the heat will cause it to fail within a year, i have a life time warranty with the brand i bought so i will change it out, but i need to add additional heat shielding if i keep it where i placed it
Thanks for this, I bought two sets using your link. Hopefully the legs won't split like another in the comment section here. Also, with the brakes locked, you don't notice too much moving around do you? Plan on doing this mod for a boardgame/puzzle table. Thanks for the vid and thanks in advance!
May 14 2024 , hello , update how did this relocate knock sensor work out ? If you did have to make adjustments to ECM (aka PCM ) if so who did it and how ?
So i talked to someone that is a mechanic and he claims that it will not cause a problem moving it out where i did as far as detecting knock. (so for what ever that is worth) however it has failed again after about a year, i think its getting to hot in this new location, so i have to try putting some kind of extra heat shield around it or something.
Interesting video ! I would like to install this hitch on my Outlander. I have same spare tire rack same as yours but put regular tire on it. Do you think this hitch will fit with the regular tire in the rack?
Great video really good to see another ham that's still messing with stuff so often people look more like an advertisement with perfect little setups and I always feel like the oddball with my massive wires and boxes and things of that sort Hope you still having fun with it 73s
I need to spend more time on it, i have been really busy and also dealing with chronic pain so that has taken some of my time from my hobbies :-( but i hope to get back to doing more with it soon
Thank you for the information AND explanation. I have an ‘03 3500 with 50k miles in mint shape other than the engine light (knock sensor of course) I’ll be trying your fix this summer. Toes crossed! 🤞🏼
I will be updating this video, i know others have put this in the same or close location but i think it needs some kind of heat shield, the end to the wire is now distorted from the heat and keeps coming off. so something more needs to deflect the heat so that needs to be taken into consideration, also im not sure if the sensor is still good or if its just because of the wire, but even when the wire is now attached it will throughs an error. i still have to replace the connector and see if ti resolves the issue, if not that means my new sensor has already failed again, if so probably because of the heat
Hi there, how did you get that echo sound? I don't really know what it's called but repeats continously and i like it. Is it vibration, depth, delay echo, or attack? , I would love to know how to add it to a jazz guitar 🎸 voice on my Tyros 3. Also how can i pitch bend on bass guitar when im using split on tyros 3?
Dude you ruined this entire video running from window to window u look out windows u can't see crap out of with the camera . When u open the door it's great but then you shut the door as soon as it gets good. Like can't tell how bad the storm is for the real because you running around a dark house and the views from the foggy windows just sucks. So disappointed.
I aim to please ;-) Looking forward to seeing your videos. Oh wait, you haven't made any. Yeah, yours probably suck too. Misery loves company, after all.
Maybe I missed it, but, did you show how the rear of the rackmount areas work? I can’t figure it out. I know I am being dumb and missing something but the directions don’t tell anything about how to rackmount gear
Not in this video, but i did upgrade to a new stereo later that has more power and they do sound much better, but even with the stock stereo they did fine
I understand that ECUs do not literally have 'ears,' but when I said 'hear,' I was using it as a simple way to explain the concept. What I mean is that when the knock sensor is relocated, it may not detect engine knock vibrations as effectively because the sensor's output, in terms of voltage generated by these vibrations, could be reduced. Therefore, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) requires recalibration to adjust to the altered signals from the moved sensor. It's a figurative way of explaining that the ECU needs to be 'tuned' to recognize and respond to the new sensor position accurately. Indeed, in a broad sense, a knock sensor operates on a principle somewhat similar to that of a human ear. Both are designed to detect vibrations - the knock sensor detects mechanical vibrations (specifically, the unusual 'knock' in an engine), while the ear detects sound vibrations. Both convert these vibrations into electrical signals: the knock sensor sends these signals to the ECU for analysis and potential adjustments to the engine's operation, whereas the ear sends signals to the brain to be interpreted as sound. Despite the different contexts and types of vibrations they detect, the fundamental concept of converting vibrations into electrical signals is a shared characteristic between the two. It's called an analogy
For what it's worth, I have this tuner and I bought the auto-tuning thingie. I have it hooked to my Yaesu FT 710 and it works flawlessly. I've heard other guys say the switch doesn't work - and they might be right. Maybe they got a bad 'box' for auto-tune, but mine works and I love it.
You're a saint, do you have any more videos concerning this Van? I only found one other but youre the only person ive found who has in depth videos of how to do things in the van!
It's my moms van, I will be heading to Colorado again this spring, I can make more then, did you have any questions you would like answered I can do my best to see what I can do.
