7 years later now I would like for Netafim to interview this farmer again. I'd like to know things like how long it takes to get the system ready to run each spring. How many place, if any, have rodent damage, etc. Is it 1 spot per 10 acres on average or less or more? I realize that someone use to patching them could fix a spot in about 20 minutes or less so, if not excessive, no more time than getting a pivot ready. I'd like to know how his drip tape is holding up. Would he use the same gage or a thicker one if he installs the system in a new field? What has been the average dollar amount spent on repair and maintenance each year on average? Has iron in the water been a problem for the emitters?
Hello, we are about to test this system in tobacco. Im concerned in the tillage we usually do prior to tobacco transplant, and also the soil compaction due to harvesting and intense machinery use. Do you have more info regarding these issues? thanks in advance
Horrible idea. I had to rip out an entire yard just because my customer had their yard aerated destroying everything underneath. Also, in thicker lawns it is very difficult to pinpoint small leaks. Garbage of an idea!
After further reading.... as I suspected, Stine Seed collaborated with none other than MONSANTO. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BUY THIS PRODUCT. MONSANTO IS BAYER=BAD
Doesn't matter how close you plant as long as you give it enough food and water. I planted my corn plants less than 2 inches apart. They do make smaller ears but theres a whole lot more of them.
Hello, my name is Isaac frnaco, I have an irrigation company in Brazil, I use many Netafim products. but I would like to know if I can buy such an implement to use here in Brazil for my customers. thanks.
Thank you for your full insight! The best presentation of subirrigation I have had so far! Looks like your experiments are on row crops. Have you had experience with wheat and other small grains? Can you think of a reason why this might not work for wheat?
Nobody has this around here. If I do this I want it to be professionally installed by a company that has experience installing these. How do I find a professional installer of this? Netafim's corporate office in CA offered me zero help on this question.
