@syndos8900 if you have a mates place out west you can use it there with their permission. Otherwise in most states you only can go to a range or someones property
@alexanderschembri9667 hey mate its the mesa shot shell carrier, if you go to suluns facebook page you should be able to find posts on it. I messaged the FB page and i bought it through my local dealer
He was complaining about how you might accidentally hit the trigger whilst loading AFTER you already put one down the chamber… maybe put one in the chamber last?
Mines a 1941 model. But what's weird about it is I can't tell if it's been sporterized or not. The wood looks original, and the butt stock even has a 1941 mark on it. However in the front, the wood is shortened like the jungle carbine variant. But when you look at the jungle carbine online, the top wood is shorter than the bottom. On mine, top and bottom are the same length. Really strange.
Great job mate,I could be keen on the more traditional style, but not sure what is the best an quickest bolt release, main use will be duck shooting.Cheers
Same we have guns in canada too, when Americans say Canada and Australia don't have guns is what they mean is we don't bring handguns and AR's to any schools
No we mean you have the governments boot so far in your mouth and cant speak . How many bans and limitations are you okay with? You cant even have standard capacity magazines.
It's a lever release shotgun. You press the lever after you fire to send the bolt forward. You also have to depress the lever to load to release the loading gate.
The point of these are faster follow-up shots, right? From standing, i feel like you'd be equally as quick with a bolt action. I know from the bench you can sit on the release, but from standing, it appears no faster. What's your experience with this?
@@Outbackarms No way! That's wild to hear. It'd be awesome to see one of these rapid-fire beauts down in Tassie. The police just drop the ban hammer on just about anything that doesn't have wood and metal and look like it's from the 19th century. You guys wouldn't happen to be based out of Southern Australia would you? I heard people out there can still possess 30 rounders without a D-Category pest control license.
@jakesoros2376 nah im in queensland, yeah south Australia doesnt have a mag cap which is lucky. yeah will have to look it up but pretty sure tassie can have the taipan as well
@@Outbackarms Thanks for responding. Honestly don't know how Southern Australia got so lucky not to have the magazine capacity restrictions. That's the way it should be around the country but that's another conversation. I'm a younger firearm owner looking to get into 5.56 rifles, particularly ones that aren't so slow to operate. Aside from this one, do you have any other recommendations?
@jakesoros2376 yeah it say look at straight pulls like the oceania sp15, the warwick wfa1 and pumps like the taipan and 7615. theres some new guns like the lever release eureka coming out and the pump action from wedgetail industries. Good luck
Cheers to Outback Arms for presenting an excellent , professional and entertaining review regarding this shotgun! Went out and got one for myself, love it ! Cheers for the great video!
Hey mate as the other comment said same as any other rifle or depending on your state, in qld i believe its bolt open but i dont travel with my rifle being on a property
Update: Hi everyone, the shotgun has continued to perform well for me over the last few months with no issues whatsoever. Sulun Arms has reached out to me and said they will fix the missing loose screws on the rail for me. Please note I have recently heard of some shotguns having issues such as light primer strikes and crooked front sights. It doesnt seem to be to many but thats something to be aware of and i would have mentioned it in the video if I knew! When I was talking to the rep at Sulun they seem to have very good customer service and are fixing all these issues under warrenty. Please note that im not sponsered by them im just impressed with their customer service.
@@OutbackarmsHi mate, I really enjoy the gun. However I have got few issues with Winchester Super Target rounds as it did not cycle properly, the shells after shots did not shoot out for reloading. I have some Saga Eurotrap target rounds, I don’t have any problems for that. It feels like the Super target is not powerful enough to recycle it. Maybe it is too new, the spring is too strong or some? But You have no issues with yours. What other rounds do you normally use, thanks.
@sunshinel6994 Hey mate what velocity does it say it is on the box? i found mine wont cycle anything below 1150fps. Most rounds i have used are above 1250fps and it cycles them great.
