Agree it opens up the division, and good that it takes Omalley down a peg. Umar is next and will probably win. Sandhagen and Omalley hopefully get to fight for nr1 contender, then hopefully get O'Malley and Umar superfight later
@@NwadeiMMA. It's the money fight for Umar obviously, Javier Mendez said that even before Merab and O'Malley fought that he would rather O'Malley win because it is a "bigger fight" and money fight. But what Ali says or not about who is next is quite irrelevant, it is the UFC who decides. As Mendez has said, Umar and all his fighters will fight anyone UFC puts infront of them. If Omalley hasn't fought at all by the time Umar wants to fight again after beating Merab, who knows. Id say 50/50 Omalley gets it, or Figuredo. Id rather see Omalley fight someone before gets anoyher shot, but its a crazy sport. I think for fans and enthusiasts it is far more interesting for now to watch Merab vs Umar for next belt opportunity, and a tougher test for Umar too than Omalley would have been. I think O'Malley would have been slaughtered by Umar, judging by what Merab did to him. Hey, good analysis btw, i can see you are trying to build your channel. its so ironic for the UFC. trying so hard to promote the Main and CoMain and Chiwiwi Rosas, but their fights end up being the only and most boring 3 fights on the card lol.
Finished Cejudo, then lost a split decision that would be scored for him in todays age. Was fighting at his “walk around weight” at bantamweight, would be like GSP fighting the first half of his career at middleweight, or Jon at Heavyweight
GOATs dont get finished by -750 underdogs... thats like Jordan or Grezkey getting blown out in the finals by an underdog. GSP is the best WW but not GOAT
@@peytonsmith-bauer2203it’s well known he was 42-1 underdog, but in heavyweight boxing Mike Tyson is not the goat. Nothing but love for him, and he might have been at one point in time, but not the goat currently or ever again.
